Bakugo POV

It was dumb but at least it would take my mind off things. We all met up at Eijiro and Mina's place and honestly it was nice to do something normal  twenty one year olds would do. We chatted about life and our houses, we drank beer and generally got wasted.

In a drunken haze I grabbed my phone:
💥Sho I love you wake up and get your Icyhot ass down here
💥oh yeah did I mention you gotta wake up so I can marry your stupid ass
Someone took my phone off me "hey dumbass I'm telling Sho to wake up so he can join us"

"No phones while we party" Eijiro yelled back as he waved my phone in the air. "HEY NO FAIR!" I rolled my eyes and carried on partying with my friends. It wasn't long before a drunken haze turned into blackout drunk.

I visited Shoto every day for a month hoping he would wake up. He still hadn't woken up so I visited again. As usual I sat next to him and held his hand. "Hey Sho, I don't know if you can hear me but we managed to capture a few more members of the league. I think there's only two of them out there still. It's just Twice and Toga. Oh yeah and Touya has been cleared because he helped us bring in Deku, although he's doing community service and has to stay with your parents. They worked things out and are living together again, they actually seem kinda happy except for, y'know..."

"I miss you Sho. I really miss you. Just come back to me please" Eijiro always came with me and just sat at the other side of the room listening to what I was saying.

"Hey if he doesn't show signs of waking up in the next week we're going to have to turn off the life support" the nurse said softly. I couldn't look at her and I was crying anyway so Eijiro spoke to her. "Thanks for telling us, hopefully it won't come to that" he said as he tried to get me to leave. "I can't lose him again Ei... I just can't" I mumbled before I fell asleep.

The next week had been the worst, still no signs of him waking up. Then came the day I had dreaded "I'm sorry but we have to turn it off he might still wake up but it's not very likely" the doctor turned off the machines and left. "Come on Shoto, just wake up, please" still nothing. "I... I have to go" I couldn't stand to be in the room anymore.

"How about we go look for Twice and Toga? Take your mind off of things" Eijiro asked. I agreed only so that I would know the morons were all behind bars ready for when Shoto woke up. The doctors had given up on him but I refused to give up, he was going to wake up I knew it. I could feel it in my gut.

After an insane amount of searching and stopping a few other crimes we decided to call it a day. "I'm just gonna head back see if Sho has woken up yet" I waved bye and walked taking in the fresh air. I entered the hospital with a clear mind, a trick I had learned in my anger management classes. I felt calm, that was until I got to Shoto's room. "Wait did they take him already? No he's gonna wake up, he has to" I collapsed to the floor and before I knew it the red haired idiot I called my best friend was helping me leave.

"I know it's hard but if they've taken him then he's gone, for realsies okay" he hugged me and I cried into his shoulder "b... but we... we we're g... gonna get m... married" he let my cry into his shoulder.
"I know bro, I know" he took me back to his "you're gonna stay with us for a while, no questions, no buts you're staying" I didn't have the energy or fight in me to argue. "I'm on the night shift with Denki tonight but Mina will be here and I'll make sure she takes care of you" I nodded and curled up.

Feelings sucked and I wanted them to go die in a hole. No what I wanted was for Shoto to be alive and with me. "Hey, Katsuki I know I'm not exactly your best bro, but I am still here for you. I'm not going to pretend to understand how painful this must be but if you need anything, a hug, a shoulder to cry on, someone to talk to, just let me know" I smiled a little "thanks Mina"
