Todoroki POV

I felt awful. Kat was injured and Deku had hit him with one if his acquired quirks. I finished treating his wound as much as I could "I'm sorry" I whispered, I broke him and tears started to fall from both of us.

"Kat, I'm sorry, I know I'm too late and you probably don't wanna see me but..." I started to ramble before I was cut off with a kiss. "Shut up idiot, you don't know what I want" he clutched his head again and yelled out profanities. "Stay here I'll be right back" I stood up and headed to the room Deku was fighting in.

"DEKU YOU'RE MINE" I had an advantage the others didn't. I knew what quirks he had and how to counter them. Everyone in the room stood still frozen obviously shocked that I had appeared. "Back away from him" my entire right side was icing over and my left side was engulfed in flames so they did as I asked.

Deku had obviously misinterpreted what I had said and was smiling "Shoto I knew you'd come back to me" I stormed over to him and grabbed the collar of his shirt pinning him to the wall. "First of all, I didn't come back for you, second of all, ever wonder why I left all that time ago, there is a reason. My memories came back, but because of what you made me do I couldn't come back, I couldn't bring myself to face anyone"

Instead of facing my friends, family and Kat I ran. I worked on strengthening my quirk so that one day I could fight Deku with his acquired quirks and win easily. Luckily for me I had been successful I took Deku down in minutes "don't you dare even think about hurting my friends and family again" I threatened before punching him in the face and injecting him with a stronger anti-quirk serum than he had used on me and Kat. "He won't be any trouble" I stated before leaving the room.

"Sho?" Touya had grabbed my arm just as the door closed "where have you been? We've been looking for you" I felt bad that I had just vanished off the face of the earth like that. "Look, I did some pretty bad things while I was with Deku okay. Once my memories came back I left him but I couldn't bring myself to face any of you so I ran" I pulled my arm out of his grasp. "I'm sorry, I gotta check on Kat"

I found him exactly where I had left him and picked him up "hey you're gonna be okay" I assured him. "Koala?" It had been so long since I heard that nickname "what's up?" He cuddled into me a little more "promise you won't leave me again?" Hearing him ask that broke my heart, had I really hurt him that much. "I'm getting you some help" was all I managed to say.

To say people were surprised I was alive was an understatement. I took Kat to the hospital and all I heard around me was "wait is that Icyhot?" "Where's he been for the last three years?" And "should someone contact his family?"

I sat with Kat as the doctors helped with his wounds and stayed when they were finished. "Hey Koala, makes a change doesn't it, me being the one injured" he laughed. I couldn't believe that even after everything he was making jokes. "You know, I'll completely understand if you hate me now" I couldn't even look at him as I said that.

"You're such an idiot" he sat up "if I hated you I wouldn't have spent the last three years searching for you. A lot of people stopped looking after a year, and when we heard you left Deku a lot of people thought you were actually dead, I refused to give up" he shuffled a little closer to me and gave me a kiss on the cheek. "I know it was a long time ago but didn't I once say if I ever start to doubt myself again I won't be such an ass about it. I'll actually talk to you because damn it Shoto I love you, I meant it then and I still mean it now"

"Same goes for you dumbass if you start to doubt yourself talk to me okay" Kat added almost as an afterthought. I nodded "okay, how about now?"
"Now like right now?" He paused "why are you doubting yourself?" I explained what happened after I abandoned Deku and why.

"Oh boo hoo you did some shit things because the villains *cough* Deku *cough* took advantage of your amnesia. The point is that wasn't really you and when your memories did come back, you did the right thing by leaving" he paused for a second. "I just wish you had come back to me, I could have helped you get through whatever you were dealing with"

He was right I should have just come back. We did some general catching up and it kinda hurt when I found out that most of my family had given up looking for me. Especially since some stopped before I left Deku. However I was happy to hear Touya turned his life around, got his hero license and went by the name Blue Phoenix. I was also happy to hear he and Hawks finally admitted they loved each other and got married.

Of course the subject of marriage upset me a little. "Hey Kat" I paused because I could hear the insecurity in my voice "do you still... y'know... wanna marry me?" He pulled me into a hug "of course I do stupid" he made our lips connect in a passionate kiss. Eventually I pulled away needing to breathe again and couldn't help but smile at the most perfect human to exist.

"We just need to make sure Deku and his league of villains can't hurt anyone else" I smiled again and let out a little laugh. "You don't need to worry about Deku, he's quirkless" Kat looked at me confused "how did you find out about one for all?"
"What's one for all? I just meant that I came prepared with the quirk erasing drug, well a stronger version that's permanent. Kat what aren't you telling me?"

He explained that the source of All Might's power was something that was passed down and that he had given it to Deku just in time for the entrance exams. He went on to say that before the entrance exams Deku had been completely quirkless.
