Bakugou POV

After the ranking ceremony we had to stay to talk to people until I had to go. "My shifts about to start, have the car and stay safe okay" I gave him a quick kiss as I passed him the keys. I was already in my hero suit so I didn't have to worry about getting ready. I blasted my way to the office and waited for Eijirou at the doors. "Took you long enough" I teased "but I win again, that's a whole bunch to me and none to you" it was always a race when the two of us had to do a night shift. I opened the door and waited for everyone else to leave. Soon it was just me and my best friend.

"So how's the new house?"
"Its good, Sho seems to like it and, don't you dare tell anyone I said this but, as long as he's happy I'm happy"
"Aw bro that's so manly you two were made for each other, I'm glad you're both happy" There was a brief pause "how did you even get together in the first place... I swear you went from basically hating each other to dating in the blink of an eye"
"That's a long complicated story"

I shuddered slightly as I thought about how it had all started, how I had found him on the bathroom floor bleeding out. "What's up?" Even though we had told him we were together, we never told him what started it all, what made us start to hang out in the first place. "Nothing, it's just something Shoto should tell you if he's ready" he nodded understanding that there was a lot of sensitive subjects in our crazy past.

It was shaping up to be a pretty quiet night not that we minded. It was nice to just chill out, just two best friends chatting about life. The radio was always connected to the police during the night, it was the easiest way for us to hear about anything happening. Nights were usually pretty quiet but occasionally there would be a robbery or something. Despite that it seemed to be suspiciously quiet.

"Something feels off about tonight" I stated as I saw the time nearly 1am. "I know man, usually there's been something said over the radio. Is this thing even working?" He smacked the radio lightly and laughed. I laughed along with him "you idiot, don't break the damn thing" we laughed some more. I couldn't remember the last time I had spent this much quality time with anyone. I needed to change that. Starting with taking Shoto on a date tomorrow.

Three members of the League of Villains have been spotted near the home of Ground Zero... I didn't listen to the rest. I knew Sho could look after himself but if he was sleeping he would be vulnerable. On top of that he would have been outnumbered and I had no idea which members had been seen. I blasted my way to my house shortly followed by Eijirou "I'll check around the house" he said as I fought to open the door as quickly as possible.

"SHO! WAKE UP!" there was no response "SHO? SHOTO?" I ran to the bedroom to see there had clearly been a struggle "RED!" I called in a moment of panic. Shoto was gone, it was almost like they knew I wouldn't be in. I collapsed to the ground unable to move taking in the sight. There was blood, couldn't tell who's blood it was, all over the place.

I could only think about all those years ago when they had taken him  before, how he could have died and it was all happening again. "What's u... oh my god Katsuki what... is... are you okay... we'll find him I promise" he helped me calm down. At some point I had started crying but I wiped away my tears and pulled myself together. "When we find those bastards I'm gonna kill 'em" I practically growled.

We left the house just as the police arrived "we gotta make them think everything is okay" I whispered "can't ruin Sho's reputation just as it's getting started" The last thing I wanted was for everyone to know that just hours after being declared number one hero Shoto had been kidnapped again. I let Eijirou do the talking to avoid my feelings a little while longer.

"Everything is under control, we rushed to the scene as soon as we heard"
"Where is Icyhot?"
"He's not in right now..." Eijiro was interrupted.
"Then where is he? Did the villains get him"
"Dammit you idiots, he's visiting family" I lied "and that's all you need to know" Eijiro put his arm between me and the reporters "what Ground Zero means to say is that Icyhot has a lot of family that he luckily left to visit earlier today so he is fine" he diffused the situation before it escalated. The reporters left after the police asked them to move on "thanks" I mumbled.

"No problem, now let's go back inside and search for clues yeah?" I nodded and we headed back inside to find any clues. We started off downstairs and thoroughly searched everything in every room before heading upstairs.
