The Mikaelsons' all gathered together on the staircase of the manor, standing united as a family. Nikol and Henrik beside their parents, the boys with their moms, Hope and Landon stood close to Rebekah and Marcel. Everyone together, they were a force to be reckoned with. All that was left to do was add a few new-well old members.

Kol stepped forward and addressed the crowd, "Good evening, as many of you know my family's legacy in this town goes back quite a number of years, almost feels like a millennia." Kol smirked, looking out into the crowd, seeing many of the Mystic Falls supernatural natives roll their eyes, while the Mikaelsons standing behind Kol chuckled at his comment.

"Now we have gathered you here today to celebrate the holiday season. We would like you wish you and your family's a happy holiday season from our family to your." Kol raised his glass in hand, grinning brightly making many of the Mikaelsons once thought to be enemies very anxious. "Our whole family."

Waiting in the wings, Klaus plastered a huge smirk on his face. Leading the way, was Klaus, following was a well dress Elijah and a stunning Hayley on his arm.

"Happy holidays indeed brother," Klaus clasped a hand on his brother's shoulder. An audible gasp was heard throughout the crowd. A mix of fear, shook, and pure confusion fished across the supernaturally aware people in attendance. "Oh and my dear Nicolette, our so called 'deal' is invalid, as you can see; I am very much alive."

The hybrid turned to his elder brother, "would you like to do then honors?"

Elijah gladly accepted, "thank you brother. My family and I would like to start the night off with a century's old waltz. If you had the pleasure in attending the last ball may family have the pleasure of hosting, some twenty years ago; this may seem a little familiar." Elijah raised his hand, "choose a partner and we welcome you to the dance floor." Elijah held his hand out to Hayley, who in return accepted and allowed the original to guide her into the dance floor.

The family slowly made their decent down the stair case. Nikol looked around the ball her eyes catching Stefan's for a moment, before Nikol reluctantly looked away. She stared at the bottom hem of her dress. All she wanted to do was dance was her secret boyfriend, but alas, he was a secret.

Kol noticed the hesitation in his daughter, his face softened. The only thing that mattered in his life, was that of his children. A happy life. From what the thousand year old vampire could tell, was she was far from happy.

Bitting his tongue, Kol wrapped his daughter in a small hug, whispering in her ear, "go dance with him. It's okay."

Nikol pulled away, shocked at her fathers words. Without being able to come up with her own, she gazed at her father with a confused and questioning look.

"I think I've been a bit too harsh when it comes to boys." Kol ignored the blaring voice in back of his head that told him to just simply end the boys life and move on. But, he was better than that, he wanted to be better than that, he had to be better than that. "Go ahead."

Nikol's lips curled up into an uncontrollable grin. Throwing her arms around her father, she thanked him endlessly, before running down the remainder of the stairs, joining Stefan at the bottom.

Nikol grabbed Stefan's hand and pulled him out into the dance floor. Confusion laced Stefan's voice, "I thought you weren't allowed to dance with non-blood relatives? Not that I'm particularly complaining." Stefan signature smirk appeared on his face, making Nikol want to melt.

"Actually, he's allowing me to dance with you, specifically." Nikol smiled, placing a hand on Stefan's shoulder, clasping her other with his. Stefan's other hand rested on Nikol's hip sending shivers through her body.
