Ok so, my school started yesterday and I'm taking two AP classes. (I know I hate myself for doing it too) so I may or may not have to update less but, don't worry the chapters that I have written already as pretty long so we should be good for now!

Anyways to the story!!

Nikol's POV
The two of us rushed down stairs. Mom, Henrik and Troy were sitting in the living room.

"Wait here," I told Stefan.

I vamp sped down stairs to where dad is with the witches. I heard screams and moaning and groaning.

"Did they tell you anything about the deal?" I asked hastily.

Dad looked up, "no why?"

"I have a solution for our problem." I picked up two of the knife and handed one to each of them, "stab yourself in the leg, over and over again and if you get bored switch legs," I compelled. I turned back around to dad, "that should keep them occupied. Let's go." Dad smiled and followed me up the stairs.

"That was clever where did you learn that?" He said throwing his arm around my shoulder.

"Uncle Nik's memoirs," we walked into the living room. "Speaking of Uncle Nik, I may have a way to contact him. But I'm not sure if it'll work."

The room got tense, I explained everything, the dream, the quote, they only thing I couldn't explain was why I, out of all people could contact him.

Henrik cleared his throat, "Nikol isn't the only one who experienced a similar happening. Only I didn't meet uncle Niklaus, I meet uncle Elijah."

"What if we're the link, what if we can contact Uncle Nik and find out what this deal is, what if we're the answer." I said, standing up next to Henrik.

"No absolutely not," dad shook his head.

"What?!" I yelled. "We have a chance to talk to him, the real him. You have a chance to talk your brother again."

"No, the consequences could be catastrophic!" He took a deep breath, "I will not put you too in danger. The answer is no, and that's final." With that he stormed out of the room.

"Mom, he can't be serious," I look toward her for support but she looked away.

"Your father is right," she walked over to Henrik and I. She put a hand on each of our shoulders, "we aren't going to let anything happen to you. I promise." She pulled us in for a hug before leaving the room to go find dad and calm him down.

"Unbelievable," I scoffed. "We finally have the upper hand and they don't even want to use it."

"Mother is right, it's too dangerous," Henrik said.

"Ugh! Don't you get it our whole lives are dangerous!" I started to pace again, "we are the son and daughter of an original vampire and an all powerful harvest girl. Dangerous is relative."

Stefan appeared in front of me again, grabbing my shoulders, pulling me into a hug. My knees gave out and the two of us sat in the floor while I cried. I cried out of frustration and anger. I cried because now I know that I will never be able to see my uncle ever again.

I had nearly passed out from exhaustion when Stefan carried me back up to my room and placed me into my bed. I rolled over and passed out.

I woke up with a pounding headache and unbelievably thirsty. It was still dark out, its like 3 am. I probably cried out every once of water that was in my system last night. Ugh, last night. I had a complete melt down, why? I never felt sadness like it before, it was intense. It's hard to explain. I put my hair into a bun and ventured down stairs, where Henrik was feeling similarly to me, thirsty. Must be a twin thing.
