I woke up early the next morning, with a happy feeling deep inside of me. Then I remembered the night before, and that faint feeling fell.

I sighed, and got up, heading to take a shower. But, stopped when I heard my mom sniffling in her bedroom.

I tiptoed down the hall, and slowly cracked open her door. When she saw me, she started crying.

I walked over to her; where she was sitting on the edge of her bed and sat beside her.

"What's wrong, mommy?", I whisper, sounding like a kindergardener.

Mom shakes her head for a minute, and then says hesitantly, "You have a little brother."

I look at her, totally confused, "Uhh, yeah", I say, "I know I do. I have two. "

"Three," She says, very quietly. I almost didn't hear her.

I grin a little, "Your pregnant", I say.

'So are you', My mind whispers, darkly. I ignore it.

Mom's crying, gently wiping away each tear.

"I lost him," She choked out.

I let my smile fade, and looked at her with sad eyes.

"You had a miscarriage?", I asked, sniffling.

She nodded.

I threw myself into her arms, and held on tight.

"Mom," I whisper, "I'm so sorry."

She wraps her arms around me.

"So am I," She whispers back, "I know that's selfish. Everyone keeps telling me it's not my fault, but when you were the one carrying the child-the mother-you feel like ... you murdered a baby. I feel like a killed my child. My baby, He's gone. "

I didn't say anything. I just sat there, hugging her close, for a long time. We cried. We didn't talk We just cried. And held eachother.

An Hour Later ...

"Okay, lunches for everyone!", Mom cries while spreading peanut butter on a row of bread.

"But it's summer," Jaden says.

"It is, isn't it?", Mom giggles, "And I told you not to wake them up because they had school."

I grin, "That's fine. Noah and Jaden have basketball. They had to sleep no matter what. "
