Aaron didn't get angry when I told him I was back with Parker. I've been actually sitting back nervously. And when I finally asked him what was wrong.
"I've been cheating on you, too," He says, biting his lip, "Behind yours and Kylie's back."
I hung my head, and then asked the dreaded.
"How long?"
"Oh, Riley," He said, sighing, "I've been seeing her for almost a year."
"What the fuck, Aaron ?!", I cried, "You only saw me for a month!"
"Yeah," He said, "I was a thug."
"Duh", I say, pacing.
We stood there, in silence for a while, until finally Aaron says something.
"I was stupid, not taking you, and dumping her," He says, "You're perfect, Ri."
"No, I am not," I say firmly, "Trust me."
"After you cheated on me?", He says, "No way!"
"Me ?!", I screech, "You've been seeing whoever this girl is ... for a whole year! You freaking made a commitment to be my boyfriend, when you already were someone's boyfriend. You cheated on me, really bad. "
"And you didn't?", He asks.
"Oh, I did," I say, "I kissed my ex one time ... you kissed me like a hundred times. And I told you as soon as I discovered I wanted to be with him ... that I had made my decision that you were not what I was looking for ".
"What were you looking for... sex?", He asks, "Cause I can give that to you".
"Are you threatening me?", I ask, gently; fear showing in my voice.
"I would never rape a slut like you," He says, harshly.
"I am not a slut!", I say, allowing a single tear to fall from my eyes.
"You're the biggest slut I ever met," He said, "All you want is a relationship with sex."
"Aaron, please rethink this," I say, gently, "I'm trying-as hard as I can."
He stops for a minute, and I can see the concern in his eyes. I know deep down in my heart that he's a good boy. I can be a sweetheart. I've knwon him my whole life. He's not like this.
"You're not like this, Aaron," I say, in a whisper.
He frowns and then speaks, in a gentle whisper.
"Riley, something's wrong, huh?"
I just gulp, and then nod, hanging my head.
"Ri, I know you don't want to trust me, ever again, but I think I need to know what's going on."
I bite my lip, amd start to cry, remembering it all over again. It's real Oh God, it's real. Sigh Crying all over again.
"Riley," Aaron whispers, "You're not okay ..."
I shake my head.
"Tell me, Ri," He says, "Tell me what's wrong."
And I tell him. He's the first person I tell. I don't regret that. And now I have to go tell Kylie. And Parker. I have to tell my baby's father.
"Riley, say it agin", He whispers, "Tell me it's not real".
I hang my head, and sniffle. Aaron puts an arm around me.
"Aaron", I rasp.
He nods, looking gentle, so sweet, and highly concerned.
"Aaron, I'm having a baby", I say, quietly, "I'm having a baby".
Then the tears come.
