After a while, I stopped worrying about being pregnant. I realized it was a little easier to live life without that constant feeling of anxiety. It sucked to be nervous all the time.
My 14th birthday came before I even had time to plan it. I told my mom all I really wanted wanted was to hang out at Ky's house for the weekend. Her parents were out of town, and they said as long as we behaved, we could stay. Finally, mom agreed. She said I was only allowed because Kylie's older brother, Aaron would be there.
I had some family over on Friday, my real birthday, but after that, I went straight to Kylie's.
Later...
Were in the middle of trying on some of Mrs. Patterson's old dresses when there's a short knock on the door.
"Aaron, don't you dare come in!", Kylie yells, "Were in our bras!".
The door slowly creaks open, and in comes the cutest guy I've ever seen. He's grown up a lot since I last saw him.
We panic, and quickly throw t-shirts on. Aaron collapses on the bed, and grins at me, foolishly.
"Riley Reinhold", He says, smiling right at me, "God, are you pretty".
I laugh, and Kylie rolls her eyes.
"Aaron", She says, "Riley and I are trying to have some fun".
"You want to have some real fun?", He asks, "Have a party. I already invited some of my friends and yours. Told them to bring theirs".
"You retard!", Kylie curses, "Mom trusted us! We can' t just let a bunch of your jock friends trash the house!".
"Fine", He says, "I'll have my own party. And this princess can join me".
"Aaron", Kylie pouts, "Promise me you won't mess up the house or do anything bad".
"Have I ever?", He asks, still looking at me, "C'mon let's set up. It'll be a blast, I swear! I'm the king of parties".
Kylie's shaking her head, but I'm beaming, following Aaron down the hall.
This was sure to be the best birthday ever.
