Jisung had just got out of the Hogwarts Express with y/n, Felix and all the other students. He was pretty hungry, but overall was only really excited to be back: he'd done a lot of things during the summer, that was true, traveling all the way to Japan, but his parents always were pretty distant - the countless amount of times he was talking to them but they had to go away due to Minister work!

At Hogwarts, on the other hand, he felt like he was worth something: he had some friends he could talk to and actually get answers from, and the teachers were very understanding and friendly.

With this happy thoughts in mind, he was letting himself being carried by y/n, who was walking beside him clutching on his right arm. Felix was on her other side, looking cheerful and bubbly as usual.

Y/n's grip suddenly softened as she moved towards a fellow Gryffindor, who Jisung assumed to be one of her roommates. Unsure about what to do, he thought he would just go ahead and wait for the friend at the clearing where all the carriages set off from. He looked around to tell Felix his plan, but the ladder had also vanished. Confused, he still decided to walk with all the other students.

Just when he was about to move, a dark figure flashed right in front of him, running towards what seemed like the Forbidden Forest. Puzzled, the Gryffindor hurried after it - it wasn't really a considerate action (for all he knew, it might be some dangerous creature), but it had arose his curiosity and he really wanted to figure out what it was.

Running a little faster, he managed to reach it and tightened his grip on the creature's tail - which didn't really work out well, as it returned with an angry growl. It was only then that Jisung realized it was a cat.

«So sorry» he murmured, patting the cat's head as an apology. Luckily, it didn't look as if it was too mad, because he started to purr almost immediately and Jisung even managed to lift it from the ground without getting any scratches.

He was about to let it go when a sudden voice stopped him: «Doori!»

Jisung turned around, surprised, only to meet with Lee Minho, his longtime crush, running towards him. He froze immediately.

The cat, on the other hand, happily jumped off the Gryffindor's hand to rejoin his true owner.

«Much obliged» thanked the older, now holding Doori in his hands. «I realized he was gone too late - hadn't it been for you, the idiot» and he warmly patted the cat's head, «would've wandered around all night in the rain».

Only then Minho noticed Jisung was standing under the thick rain with no protection. «Oh God, I'm so sorry! Get under here» and he covered the ladder with his own umbrella.

«It's not the best, I know» he said, embarassed. «It's kind of broken, so many tears, I tried to mend them but unfortunately I'm not the best suer...»

«I-it's completely fine, I don't mind» stuttered the Gryffindor, who still couldn't add up to the fact that he was talking to his crush, under one of those very smart strange pieces of equipment Muggles used to repair themselves from the rain. «How's it called? An ubella?»

Minho giggled, amused. «It's actually an umbrella, but close enough. My dad bought this one when I still was in primary school, but I've been using it since. It's kinda old, so sorry if it sucks» he then added: he was always embarassed whenever it came to his belongings - he'd never been rich, so he and his dad were always trying to maximize what they already had; and keeping old stuff or buying second-hand one was a good way to do so.

«No problem! And thanks again for letting me in» answered Jisung, awkard - he did not know how to behave, and he was starting to get anxious.

«And let you get soaked to the core? That wouldn't be nice, also considering you've helped me rescue Doori» replied Minho, smiling at the Gryffindor.

«I guess...» mumbled Jisung, hoping his ears had not become as red as he was feeling them to be.

«I'm Minho, by the way», the Slytherin introduced himself at last. «Nice to meet you».

Jisung fought off the instinct to immediately reply "I know". «My pleasure», he said instead. «I am Jisung».

The two of them then fell silent, and reached in the end the clearing; all the students were already gone, and only one carriage was missing. Two boys, however, were still standing there under the rain.

The nearer they got, Jisung was able to recognize them as the new Head Boys, Chan and Wonpil.

«So here you are, you're the only ones missing!» exclaimed the first. Jisung noticed that despite having no protection against the storm, not even a inch of his body was wet. He wondered what kind of spell he'd used to achieve that effect.

«Sorry about that, Doori had ran away and I couldn't possibly let her out alone in the rain» apologized Minho, quickly getting on the carriage after the younger Gryffindor, placing his umbrella carefully on the floor.

«Is it a she?» asked Jisung curiously, observing Doori as she cheerfully made herself comfortable on her owner's lap.

«She is indeed» answered the Slytherin. «She's the oldest» he explained, patting her head with affection.

«Oldest?» Jisung was confused.

«I have other two cats, but I can't bring them all to Hogwarts, sadly» Minho pouted, and the younger couldn't help but think that it - he - was absolutely adorable.

«Why can't you?» Jisung had never had an animal - or at least, not one he could bring at School. His parents, in fact, were under the impression that their family owl was more than enough for them to communicate, so he did not know how that all worked.

«A student is only allowed to bring one animal with them» explained Chan, who alongside Wonpil had in the meanwhile got on the carriage, that had already started moving. «But dang Jisung, I thought you knew!»

«I don't have an animal of my own, I have the right not to know!» protested the younger, though feeling a little stupid.

«And what's that beautiful owl that brings you letters? A mirage?» inquired Chan.

«He's my parents'! The only thing he knows about Hogwarts is the Great Hall during breakfast time!»

«The Great Hall... well, I hope the banquet will be enjoyable» Wonpil spoke for the first time.

«Why? Aren't you coming?» asked Minho, puzzled.

«The Headministress apparently wants to talk to us» explained Wonpil. He leaned more towards the carriage window. «I wonder what this is all about».
