Changbin was trying to study – and by trying, he meant trying. Definitely not doing.
"Will you please shut up, just for a few minutes?", he begged Hyunjin, who was sitting on his side, being his usual noisy self while chatting with some other Ravenclaws.
"Me?", Hyunjin snorted: he clearly didn't like the idea. "Why should I? It's not my fault you've decided to waste your time", he commented, adressing all the books and notebooks Changbin had filled the table with.
Changbin rolled his eyes. "You know perfectly well why I am doing it!"
The boy didn't say anything else, because there was no need to: it had happened, unluckily, that during their last period of the day before (Divination), their professor (Sibilla Trelawney) had asked Changbin to show the class his star chart – only thing Changbin hadn't done it.
It had been a combination of both the late-night joke they had planned (that had taken up quite a lot of time), and of the fact that he just found it too useless that had led the Ravenclaw to not even get started on the homework. Why would anyone need to know their star chart? Nonsense.
"Bad Changbinnie", mocked the friend. "Who doesn't do his start charts! Little ickle baby Seo, we don't do that here!"
"Shut up", repeated the boy. "And don't act like you've done it. Wanna show me your work?" snapped back Changbin, still pissed at the fact that the friend had managed to avoid the scolding.
Hyunjin tsked. "I see no need to waste my time and effort into such stupid things. Next time I'll just tell her I'm bound to die from a terrible, horrifying death. I'm sure she'll appreciate it".
Changbin rolled his eyes once again: this time not at Hyunjin, but at professor Trelawney – that old Hag (as they called her) seemed to have a strange fetish for horrible endings to beings' lives; wich he did find quite worrying, but at the same time, knowing was enough for him to know how to deliver what she was sure the woman would judge a 'thoroughly satisfying work'.
"Don't you dare use the the duel's loss", he in fact intimated to the friend, while scribbling on his chart. "Nor the flue. I've got them planned for respectively tuesday and saturday".
"Dang it!", was the friend's response. "I'll have to come up with something else then!"
Changbin went back to his schoolwork, but the focus he had regained didn't last long: a few moments afterwards, in fact, a scream pierced the air within the tower.
The duo could've also goy scared, but unlike their House-mates they knew too well what that meant.
"What do you want now?", asked Hyunjin, half pissed half embarassed, at the sight of his older sister.
Yeji took her time to answer – she placed her broom carefully on the table where the two were sitting and got herself a big and cozy armchair.
By the looks of it, she was about to go to her Quidditch trainings. Changbin wondered why she had decided to come visit her brother now, when there would still be dinner to talk.
Hyunjin spoke out his thoughts: "Can I please be made aware of why my lovely sister has decided to break into my own, personal space, invading my privacy and that of other Ravenclaws..."
"Cut it Jinnie", she requested, taking another spearmint bubbly gum to chew. "And stop being such a drama queen, God. I simply entered your common room".
"Well, you got the point", exclaimed the boy. "My common room. With my things. And my friends. And my secrets–"
"Good", she cut in again before the Ravenclaw could continue, wich made Hyunjin even more pissed.
