Jisung had never been more scared in his entire life. Not even when he'd got his first insufficient mark in Astrology and had had to tell his parents.
The guilt Jisung felt was surely not doing him any better: Felix had followed him only to do him a favor, and now he was going to get punished and it was all his fault.
But, most of all, the Gryffindor was intimidated: he would've understood if he had to be punished, but why – why – did Lee Minho have to be the person to do so?
Shit shit shit, he kept thinking. You sneaked in here to see him play, not to see him beat you up! and Felix! terror was quickly taking over.
"Maybe we should run...", whispered the Hufflepuff, but his was a useless remedy: two seconds later, and the Seeker had reached their dark hiding corner.
"Well, goodnight" he said in a friendly tone. "Enjoyed the trainings?"
If Jisung could, he would've disapparated on the spot. Words didn't manage to come out, so he just stayed quiet, his eyes fixed on the Slytherin.
"Listen, we're really sorry..." tried instead Felix, unsureness clear in his voice – which Jisung could well comprehend: the two had no excuse that would keep, they just didn't.
"Not any sorrier than I will be if you don't listen to me now", cut him off Minho, his voice taking an unexpectedly practical tone. Jisung sent a very confused look towards the boy's direction: what did he mean?
"Look, let's try not to fake things: you sneaked in to spy us, most likely", continued the Seeker, sparing the two friends from mumbling out useless apologies. "But you're lucky, because no one but me noticed you: now, we don't want the others to see you, or they'll get nervous, and you – well, and you will get beaten".
Jisung nodded automatically: those words were the most sensed ones he'd heard in a while, and he also appreciated how Minho had interpreted their goal – there was no need to explain the elder he had not decided to go see the Slyherins practice to pay attention to the strategies they would train.
"So, should we run off? Like – right now?" inquired Felix, getting up as he talked.
Woah, boy be obsessed with running Jisung found himself thinking: he was sure that before that night he'd never heard the friend mention anything concerning physical activities.
Minho shook his head. "You'd be too slow – I know my teammates, they can be pretty slow at changing sometimes, but not that slow. Let's do it like this – I am flying you to the Owlery, and then you get back to your dorms".
Jisung wanted to cry: why did he have to be so just and generous? "You really don't have to help us, we have misbehaved, you shouldn't try to save-" he said out of nowhere, not even truly knowing what he was talking about.
It luckily only took Felix to get the Gryffindor back to reality, who did it swiftly by knocking him (not even so gently) with his left elbow: "Have you grown mad?" asked the Hufflepuff, "he's trying to help! I'm sorry Ji, but if I can avoid it I ain't getting beaten up".
At that, Minho bursted out a soft laugh. Jisung listened as its sound filled the air: his voice itself is a miracle... Oh lord, am I whipped.
"You remind me of Seungmin, kid", Minho told the Hufflepuff, a big smile now plastered on his face. "Now get on the broom, really, or else we will be caught like complete fools".
Although unexperienced, with a help from the Slytherin Felix managed to get on the broom and find a stable position.
"We'll be back in the blink of an eye", said Minho referring to the Gryffindor – and in fact, a few seconds later, they were already almost on the other end of the pitch, a small dot disappearing into the darkness.
