Seungmin had always believed Wonpil to be the calm, chill guy.
The one he could go to when feeling worried or lost, and that he could trust completely.
Certainly not the serious and intimidating one who he was accompanying (or better, was forced to accompain) to Mrs. Kim's office.
"You could've shut up, you idiot", whispered Y/n, walking defiantly beside him, clearly annoyed at the automatic reaction the Slytherin had – rightfully – had.
"A freaking werewolf was about to ripe our flesh off", he snapped back. "What was I supposed to do? Thank him?"
Y/n rolled her eyes. "Half werewolf".
"It's whatever – and now we're even going back to that goddamn office", he continued to complain. "As if we haven't stayed there enough".
"Oh, yeah, I should've totally let you go, Kim", commented sarcastically Wonpil, behind them. He was carrying Chan's stunned body through Wingerdium Leviosa, the floating spell Seungmin had used himself the night the first floor had got flooded. And Chan helped, a voice inside his head reminded him.
"So that you would've ran off to your Slyths and spread lies all over the castle, damaging an honest guy's reputation", continued the Head Boy.
Seungmin thought about it for a second: truth be told, Woojin had the right of it – Chan had never done anything wrong, and being a Werewolf surely had not been his own idea.
Still, knowing that made him feel slightly uncomfortable and a great deal more scared.
"I wouldn't have told all the Slyths", he replied instead, weakly. "Just Minho probably; and maybe also Yeji..."
"Too many still", answered Wonpil coldly. "This was a thing for no one to know".
"How... how did this whole thing happen?" asked hesitantly Y/n, as if afraid of the elder boy's reaction.
"Which thing?" inquired Wonpil. "Wandering unwatched around Hogwarts or becoming a werewolf?"
"The first one", she said quickly. "Although... well, a full explanation wouldn't be bad".
"I second that", agreed Seungmin, who was growing more and more curious.
Wonpil sighed. "Okay then. You probably don't know that, but Chan's parents have a rather important position at the Ministry..."
"Yes, I'm well aware", cut in Seungmin: his parents and Chan's were co-workers.
"Oh, good to know. Then you might remember of that time Chan's dad signed the petition to allow Werewolf-hunting".
Seungmin internally cringed: he did not remember; however, the fact in itself did not sound too promising.
"Anyways, once the Werewolves discovered the existence of the petition, you can well imagine they were not happy", continued Wonpil. Seungmin and Y/n simply nodded. "But rather – very angry. They seeked revenge, and hurting the children of the men who'd been for the petition seemed a pretty good revenge.
"They found Chan while he was playing Quidditch in the woods near his home. I was to get there a few days after, it was during summer. Chan's parents had not aknowledged how great of a danger could come from all that, sadly. The Werewolves found him undefended, weak and small – what chances did he have at resisting them?
"Luckily for everyone though, when they'd attacked it'd been daylight, and they weren't transformed – I mean, they most likely were just as grotesque as they would've been had they been transformed, but it still was not the same thing: it meant that Chan would not become one of them entirely.
