Y/n bent down to avoid one of the various flying pillows that were now soaring everywhere around the room.
"AND THAT IS WHY I WASN'T IN THE COMMON ROOM YESTERDAY NIGHT" she screamed as to make sure that Jisung (who standing next to her) could hear her words. "I'M SORRY I LEFT YOU ALONE", she went on to say – after all, she couldn't have known that the friend had not spent the previous night within the Gryffindor dorms, boring himself out of his mind.
Jisung sent a quick spell towards a pillow that was coming his way: that friday, they were practicing Repulsion Spells, which were basically the opposite of Summoning Charms. Flitwick, the Charms teacher, had explained that he preferred to use pillows as objects to try the Spells on instead of books or bags, because "It makes life a lot easier – for me, for you, and most importantly, for poor Madame Pomfrey".
Y/n was happy that Charms was their first class that day: it was the best lesson for to chat with your friends without fearing to be overheard by either the teacher or the classmates (or, why not, both), as the noise spells made when casted easily overwhelmed that of voices talking – and that day she'd been especially lucky, since everyone was having so much fun that no one would've cared about the conversation she was having with her friend.
The girl sent an observing look around the class, and finally managed to find Seungmin among that chaos: Gryffindors and Slytherins always had Charms together, and the boy was standing just a few metres from her.
When he noticed that she was looking at him he waved happily towards her direction and smiled, so Y/n made sure to smile back – after what had happened the night before, she felt a lot closer to the boy, and she would've also guessed that he felt more at ease around her, which she appreciated. He was actually very smart and funny, and could be a great friend when he wanted to.
"SO" replied Jisung, trying to add up all of the information that he'd been invested with, making the friend snap back to reality, "YOU FOUND A PREFECT WHO HAD FAINTED AND BROUGHT THEM TO THE NURSERY, AND STAYED THERE UNTIL THEY WOKE UP?"
"PRECISELY", she answered, casting a spell on one of the nearby pillows: it moved swiftly from its position and flew away, landing on some Slytherin's face.
Y/n had kept the promise made to Woojin not to tell anybody about Chan's "little problem" (so they had decided to call it), so to explain the School why the Head Boy wouldn't be able to take part to the Quidditch game they had had to come up with a different story, that the girl was now trying to explain:
"AND THERE IS WHERE WE FOUND CHAN", she in fact went on, the lie coming easy on her lips, "WHO IS VERY VERY ILL. MADAME POMFREY SAID IT MOST LIKELY IS A VIRUS".
Jisung stopped paying attention at the flying pillows and walked to be nearer to the friend so that he wouldn't have to continue screaming: "So is it true that he won't be able to play on Sunday?" he inquired, looking rather worried.
"Sadly, yes".
The boy frowned: "but who will take up his place then? That's so unfortunate, I can't believe our luck!"
Y/n rolled her eyes. "Well, thanks for the support Sungie. I was hoping for better words of encouragement".
"Wha– wait" Jisung (Y/n could tell) had been taken completely aback. "You – the new Keeper?"
"Shhhhh", she said, because although she was pretty sure no one would hear her, it was always better to be careful. "But yes, indeed. But don't tell anyone! Chan has to talk with the team first, and then if they agree they'll fetch me during lunch".
"Are you prepared?" asked the Gryffindor. "Do you think you can keep up?"
"I truly hope so" replied the other. "Chan told me they have trainings today, and if I can I'll try and train a little bit tomorrow as well".
