Chapter 9 ~ girl next-door.

the school day went by pretty quickly , I got a few weird glares from this one girl , I don't know what her name is though. It's about 4pm and mattia should be here in an hour. Hopefully his reasons are good and not just

'I was trying to look cool in-front of my friends'

I'd definitely tell him to get lost and that I hope the door doesn't hit him on the way out. (But honestly I would).

*knock knock knock*
Is Mattia here already?
If he is I'm gonna tell him to come back in an hour because we're closed till 5pm for everyone called Mattia Polibio.

I open the door and....
It's not Mattia
A girl stands before me with mid-length ginger hair and glasses. She has a friendly smile on her face as she says to me
"Hi!" She says in a shy but enthusiastic tone.
I look down to see she brought cookies.
My mums at work so if I just took them up to my room she'd never know anyone brought them and I could have them all to myself.....teehee

"hello! I don't believe I've seen you here before?" I said a smile growing on my face by the second.

" oh yes sorry I forgot! I'm the girl who lives next door to you on the left! I'm lily" she said with a very evident strong Scottish accent.

"oh hi lily! I'm emery , have you just moved here? And is that a Scottish accent I hear?" I said using the same energy I did when I met ida but I diled it down a notch.

She chuckles lightly.
"haha yes , yes I have! I've moved down from Scotland hence the Scottish accent! My parents told me a girl the same age as me lived next door so I thought I'd come over and give you some cookies and to introduce myself! Besides who doesn't love cookies am I right?" She said with a very big smile.

"wow that's so cool! I'm from Cheshire. I'm so glad I finally have a neighbour that I know! I only moved here from the UK a week ago. Thankyou so much for the cookies! Let me give you my number and we can chat sometime?" I said to her , I didn't want to invite her in today because Mattia was coming over to explain himself.

Lily and I talk some more and exchange numbers. It's now 4:30pm wow I've just been talking for half an hour?
I go upstairs and put the cookies on my desk so I can have them to myself hehehe I go on my phone and socialise with my followers , they honestly make me feel so happy even when I don't wanna be happy.

5pm
*knock knock*
Wow literally on the dot. Impressive.
I run downstairs and open the door to see a very gorgeous lad called Mattia. I invite him in and we go upstairs because my mums home soon and I don't want her walking in on me trying to sort out my business. He looks sad. Like he's been miserable for days.
"I don't want you to say anything until I've finished explaining ok?"
I nod because it's not like I'm gonna interrupt an explanation I've been waiting for.

"ok so when we got out of the car amongst all the people watching us was my ex girlfriend Jenna ,she was standing with her boyfriend looking at me as if to say 'she's too good for you' it made me angry because she was looking at me like I was pathetic for even walking near you. So I held your hand. It made her stop immediately and she walked into the school. When me and you were inside the school she was behind you staring at us. I was smirking because I was trying to make her think you were enjoying your time with me when deep down I knew I'd messed up. I should've just told you and I know I only held your hand but I shouldn't of done it in public , even though I wouldn't of minded if you'd agreed. It wasn't just because of Jenna it was because I just wanted to hold your hand but she made me act on impulse. If you never forgive me I'd understand. I've been so miserable all week feeling so guilty about acting like that with you and never explaining why. So yeah , I'm sorry."

He looks down at his shoes and this time I act on impulse and wrap my arms around him and give him a hug. That's the Mattia I knew and lo-

I blush at my own thoughts.
We hugged for what felt like forever. But when I tried to pull away he held me tighter like he needed me there , right in his arms.
When we finally stopped hugging we talked and talked for hours. I just feels comfortable around him. I even gave him most of my cookies. I wouldn't even give my mum a cookie!

12am
Well we talked for 7 hours apparently because he was still at my house at midnight. And guess what I was doing? Sleeping. Do you wanna know where? In his arms. Again.
