I'm internally repeating this over and over as I'm getting out of bed, it's finally Christmas. It's 8am because I'm too old to be going into my parents bedroom at 5am to wake them up.

Wish I still could ugh.

But nope I'm 16 now so my excitement has gone down.

Hahahahah as IF , I'm still as exited as I were on our first Christmas.

My parents always set a time for when I'm allowed downstairs on Christmas and I figured out why a few years ago. Basically it's so they can go downstairs and set all the presents up and make it look really Christmassy, I'm not complaining at all.

So my parents are already awake which is why I do this when I walk out of my room.

"WASSUP FAMALAM ITS CHRISTMAS TIMEE-" I instantly stop when I hear a male voice that isn't my dads but is somewhat familiar then aload of other voices. I walk into the living room to see my mum , my dad , Kairi, Alejandro, Ida , Lily and....Mattia. My face lights up when I see him and I run over and give him a massive hug.

Yes I saw him yesterday but that's not the point , the point is I missed him and this is one heck of a surprise.

Eeeeek

I give him a quick kiss and then turn around to see a very happy group of people aka my friends.

Also a very smiley set of parents aka my parents. Holding up an iPad to get my reaction.

A big smile was plastered onto my face when I opened one of mattia's presents to me. He said it was really special and everyone was quiet as he gave it to me. It was wrapped up in a beautiful yellow coloured tissue paper , I didn't wanna ruin the tissue paper so I opened it as neatly as I could which I did so yay for me.

When I'd unwrapped it I held a small pastel blue leather box in my hand. I opened it and found a gold metal key on top of a tag that said

"The Key to My Heart"

My heart literally flipped. Like literally flipped. Well it felt like it flipped. I carried a big smile and teary eyes as I said "does this mean what I think it means"

He gave me a soft smile as he said "it means I love you Emery , you have the key to my heart , literally and metaphorically" we both let out small chuckles , me letting a happy tear roll down my cheek for Mattia to swipe it off my face softly. I gave him a soft smile as I replied "I love you too Mattia" our smiles grew wider as we engulfed each-other into an intoxicating hug. We forgot about our surroundings , tears running down my face as I nestle my head into the crook of his neck

I peer to look at everyone behind us to see everyone holding up their phones

I should be embarrassed but I'm not

Progress

We both pull away from eachother to see everyone smiling , their phones are away now. All the presents are opened and I take Lily and Ida upstairs so I can get ready.

It's about 11pm and we're just about ready , the boys have been helping my parents cook dinner whilst we've been getting ready.
