My dad just stood there , his eyes narrowed to the boy on my screen. I figured my dad wanted to talk to me. "Uhh Mattia , I think I need to go....my dads here , I think he wants to talk to me" my voice shaking from the death glare my dad was giving him. "Oh ok , call me later ok?" He said ,I mean I'd love to call him later but that's only if my dad doesn't take away all my sources of communication through technology. My dad is one of them dads who doesn't want their daughter to even talk to boys till they're adults I guess. He's just like that I suppose. I nodded my head to mattia and ended the call. Oh boy.

I took a deep breath and said "can I help you dad?" His face was hard as stone. Is this man feeling ok? "Who was that? Your mum told me you had a few friends that were boys. Then I hear one of them has slept here. Then as I'm walking up the stairs to talk to you about it , I hear a male voice on your phone laughing with you. You know I hate you talking to boys at your age Emery" he gave me a look as if to say he was disappointed.

"It's one of my friends his name is mattia , he's actually really nice , I'm not a little kid anymore dad , I can hang out with whoever I want to hang out with. I'm 16 for god sake! I can make my own decisions." I said sternly so he knew I wasn't going to let him win this pathetic argument.

"But Emery" my dad put a hand through his hair as he said "I am your father , and as long as your living under my roof , you follow my rules do you understand me?" I was beyond annoyed ,yes he's my dad but I'm not a little girl anymore for god sake!

"How is it your house dad? Your never even here , if anyone is making the rules it should be mum. She's the one who's actually around to talk to me about things. She's fine with me being friends with boys , you wanna know why? Because she trusts me. God I can't believe you think you can just walk through the front door and start ordering me around. It's not like you live here. You live in hotels. God your colleagues probably know you better than I do! So don't come saying all this to me when you can't even find the time to come and see your daughter! I practically begged mum to move over here so I could see you and for what? Who makes you boss of who I hang round with? It's my life." I let out a breath I didn't even know I was holding. Yes I was being dramatic but technically it's how I feel. I knew that if I just kept saying I can make my own decisions he would've carried on.

He looked at me stunned. Truth be told I've never really seen him. So he doesn't really know me. He cursed under his breath and walked out. I sighed because he literally just drains my energy. I love my dad so much but honestly he gets on my nerves. He walked out of my room not knowing what else to say meaning I'd won the argument.

I finished my homework and made some TikToks. I hadn't looked at my social media's for awhile and oh my god. My tagged is full of.....videos of me and mattia. Making out. W-wait , how did anyone see that.

That's what she mumbled to me earlier today. I ignored her because I thought she was just being her usual nasty self. But no , she recorded us. I text mattia and sent him the video. For some reason I wasn't angry. I loved kissing mattia. If people wanted to share that then so be it. We like each other , it not like any fake rumours are going round anyway. Mattia felt the same way about the video as I did.
Mattia then proceeded to invite me round to his house , I had no objections because I needed to get out of this house anyway. I packed all my essentials into a bag like my charger and what not and told my parents I was going to a friends house , my mum said goodbye and my dad stayed silent. I jumped in my car and sped off to mattia's house.

As soon as I had my car in park I jumped out of my car with my bag tossed over my shoulder. I skipped to the door because I just felt happy going to see him. I knocked on the door and it opened for me to see....... Mattia's mum.

"Oh Emery , it's so good to see you again! Come in come in , mattia's in his room." This woman is so lovely oh my god. I give her a quick hello and smiled at her then walked to mattia's room.

Mattia was sat on his bed scrolling through TikTok when I walked into his massive room , it was more like an apartment really , it was massive. He looked up from his phone and his eyes lit up as he saw me , he knew how I was feeling about my dad and everything because I told him what happened as I was telling him about that video Jenna posted. He jumped off his bed as I set my bag on the floor and before I knew it I was engulfed into a big hug. Obviously it was mattia who was hugging me duh. He went down to kiss my forehead but as the same time I lifted my head up to smile at him and he caught my lips instead of my head but it felt normal. So we stayed like that for awhile.we talked and talked for hours as we binged The Originals. We both loved the show , well I technically introduced him to the show and he now loves it.

Mattia cleared his throat as he proceeded to say. "Um Emery I wanna ask you something" I turned to look at him and I nodded. He grabbed my hand with his as he took a deep breath. "Ok so I know we haven't known each other long but I dunno I just feel comfortable around you. More comfortable than I feel around anyone else. When we're together I feel calm and happy. I've never felt like that around someone before." I agreed with him because I felt the exact same way. He carried on his explanations and finished it off with "ever since I met you I wanted to make you mine. So...Emery..what I'm asking is , will you..be my girlfriend?"

"Why would I ever say no mattia? Of course I'll be your girlfriend." I said with a big smile plastered across my face. He smiled back and grabbed my hand and pulled me towards him and kissed me with a smile still on his face. This is the best day ever.

We proceeded to laugh and smile at each other and decided to make a TikTok and told everyone that we were together and it was official. We didn't want to keep it a secret. We were so happy. My mum and dad follow my TikTok so they saw it aswell. Let's just say the messages I got from my mum and the messages I got from my dad are very very very different.
