chapter 13 Accepting

*Ruby*

I stood where I was still in shock on finding my third mate. But our bond was different. I was more drawn to him then like I was with the other two.

He looked a little shocked as he stared right back me with his green eyes. He had dirty blonde hair with pale skin. He wore a tux and he had bags under his eyes from lack of sleep.

Blinking a few times I gasped and took a step back. He was now in front of me in a blink of an eye. He smiled down at me and took my hands in his. My wolf melted into his touch as she purred making him chuckle.

"You are very beautiful and may I say you look ravishing." He grinned showing me his white pearly teeth. Blushing I looked down and I could feel a smile creep its way to my lips as he touched my cheek.

I found myself relaxing and leaned my cheek into his hand, looking up at him. "May I ask what my beloved mates name is?"

"Ruby" I told him and he just smiled. "A lovely name for a beautiful woman. My name is Tyler, I am a very powerful vampire but enough about me I would like to know more about my mate."

Covering my mouth as I yawned my eye lids grew heavy. "Tired are you?" I nodded my head and I nearly jumped as he picked me up and set me on the bed. He took off my heels and I climbed into bed.

"I'll see you in the morning my love." He kissed my forehead before he used his vamp speed to climb in behind me. He wrapped his arm around my waste and pulled me closer to him.

Setting my hand on his I closed my eyes smiling. My wolf felt happy and secure even though we just meet him. Relaxing I slowly fell asleep.

Waking up to a chest kind of had me frozen in place until I remembered who it was. Looking up I smiled when Tyler was awake. "Morning sleeping beauty."

"Morning" I told him as I stretched and let out a huff. "What does my beloved want for breakfast?" Sitting up I started to think. "Pancakes with peanut butter drizzled on top please." He grinned and kissed the top of my head. "Anything for you."

He stood up and stretched before he walked out of the room. Ruby I know he's our true mate. Leaning against the head of the bed I looked down at my hands.

"He has been treating us like we are royalty."

That's because we are special.

"What if he only likes us because we are special. I mean he is the one who is in charge of the MCEF. We've been tortured for 2 and a half years and he didn't stop his men."

He didn't know about us being his mate. Now he does and I bet he will keep us with him everywhere we go. We will not be tortured again.

"We? Its been me who's been tortured while you hid in the back of my mind. I've felt the pain, took it all with no help from you."

By now I was up and pacing the room. She didn't say anything but I could feel her. Going up to the window I peered outside and my eyes widened.

The ground and trees were covered in snow. The sky was gray with snowflakes falling slowly to the ground, sticking to the now two feet of snow.

"It's December?" I whispered to myself not knowing how to feel. "Next week it will be Christmas Eve." Turning around Tyler set my breakfast tray on the knight stand.

I didn't know what to say as I walked over to the end of the bed. I almost spent 3 years in that hell whole. I thought to myself. "Don't worry my love, you will be with me when we leave and will be at my house."

He walked up to me and set his hands on my hips. Looking up at him I bit my lip and said, "I have two friends down there and I would like for you to free them."

I stared into his eyes to see he was irritated by what I asked and I knew he would say no. "Of course honey."

My eyes widened slightly from surprise. The door opened and a man I have seen a few times when I've been tortured walked in. "Release Jacob and Christian."

"Can I possibly talk to them?" I asked in a shy tone. Tyler looked down at me and grinned, "I'll come with you." Feeling slightly relieaved I followed the man down towards the cell with Tyler at my side. The stinch of old blood and pee. The smell didn't bug me since I've been down here for a few years. 

Coming towards Christians cell I hurried over to his door and smiled. When he saw me he was pretty shocked to see me. "Ruby? What are you doing down here and in a dress?" Forgetting that I was still in a dress I ignored what he said. "I'm getting you out of here."

The man unlocked his cell door and Christian stood up slowly and watched Tyler and the man carefully. "Is this some sick joke?" He asked and I just smirked. "No it's no joke, my mate wanted her friends to be free so I'm doing what she asks." He stood and stared at me in shock, "are you serious?" I leaned into Tylers chest and nodded my head while I blushed.

"But where am I to go? I have no pack to go home to or anything. When they took me I lost everything and everyone I bet. They most likely wont remember me." I grabbed his arm and pulled him the rest of the way out of the cell. "Don't say that, I'll come with you to see your pack. They have to remember you." He grinned and we started walking out of the room.

"Jacob is in a cell that is outside. I don't want you to get cold so I will go fetch him and bring him inside." I smiled and thanked him as he and the man left us by the stairs. "When did you find out that he was your mate, your third mate at that." I started walking up the stairs and frowned, "yesterday night. I'm happy to be his and our bond is much stronger than my first two mates. Christian he's me true mate."

He ruffled my hair and hugged me from the side, "that's great."

"No it's not. What will I say to Jacob? He will be crushed that I found my true mate and it wasn't him." Christian gave me a look and before I opened the door to the room he set his hand on my shoulder. "Don't worry Ruby, I'm here for you and I will help you through this hard time."

I chuckled and opened the door, heading for the knight stand to eat my breakfast that's probably cold by now. Cutting into my pancakes I took a bite and it was really good, even if it was a little cold. "I just got out of that hell whole and your already torturing me with that amazing food."

I looked down at my food then back up at him thinking about sharing, "I'm sorry but I don't share when it comes to food." His mouth fell opened and I laughed. "I'm just kidding you can have the rest since I know your..."

He snatched my plate and started scarfing it down. I bit my tongue to hold in my laugh and jumped up on the bed. "You know what Christian? I think my life is going to be better than how it originally was."

"Well I'm sure am happy that your going to have a good life. You deserve it from what all you've been through." Smiling I started thinking about Tyler as I sat waiting for him to show.

"Ruby? Are you in here?" I froze when I heard his voice. The door opened and Jacob ran inside. When he found me he hugged me tightly and the thing is, I didn't feel any love towards him. I pushed him away gently and looked down at my feet. "Jacob I have something to tell you."

Looking up to see his reaction he seemed confussed and lost. "I found my third mate and he's my true mate. My wolf loves him and I think so do I." Jacob stared at me with hurt then mad. "No, I don't believe you." I walked up to him and tried to look him in the eyes but he would avoid eye contact. "It is true Jacob, you need to accept it so you can move on without being hurt."

He pushed me away and headed for the door right when Tyler walked in. "I'll never let it go or you." He turned and walked away. Tyler walked up to me and lifted my chin up so I could meet his gaze. "Looks like we have things to discuss between us."
