Sadie puts her phone down and exhales hard. She knows Millie is going to be devastated by this. She doesn't talk about what happened much but Sadie always knows when her best friend is thinking about it. Every once in a while Millie will just get quiet and stare blankly. Sadie feels it's her job to bring Millie out of those trances. Well, her and Noah's jobs.
Sadie hadn't actually been too close with Noah before everything happened but since then, the three of them—Sadie, Noah and Millie—have been practically inseparable. They are the golden trio of the Stranger Things kids and the media focuses so much on their friendship that it completely ignores the rift between them and Finn.
They are all thankful for that, because if the media knew what had happened, it would be a never ending barrade of paparazzi mercilessly asking questions and taking pictures and Sadie is positive that Millie would be taking this all much harder if that were the case.
