Finn is about to go on stage but is anxiously studying the crowd, looking for the familiar face of his girlfriend, Millie. She was supposed to have gotten here thirty minutes early but, as usual, she seems to be running late. His pocket begins vibrating and he pulls his phone out to see that Mills 😍 is calling and he immediately slides his thumb to answer it.

"Babe, where are you?" He says hastily, "We're about to go on."

"Oh, please don't hate me! I got into a bit of a car accident." She responds as if she told him she's only held up in a bit of light traffic.

"What?! Oh-my-God! Hold on, I'll be right there!" he rips off his guitar, and starts for the stage door but then hears Millie on the other end of the phone.

"Oh no-no-no, stay there. I'm fine, really, not even a bruise. Only a little shaken is all."

Finn sighs in relief, the heel of his hand meeting his forehead as he looks up at the blinding lights above him."Then, what should I do?" He begs, his gut telling him he should go to her, but his band is staring daggers at him, urging him to hang up and get on with the show. He holds up a finger to them indicating he needs a second then plugs his ear with it because the crowd is making it hard to hear.

"Just go perform. . ." she says, "Do your best, love."

Finn almost agrees, but then hears the siren of an ambulance blaring through the phone.

"Wait—What is that?! You said you weren't hurt, why are you in an ambulance?" his panic is swelling in his chest again.

"Finn, listen. I'm completely fine, they just insisted I come for a quick check. The car makes it all look worse than it was."

Now Finn is really torn, his insides beg him to go to her, but she is insistent he stay and perform. And it is so like her. Always rooting for him to succeed and pushing him to do better. To do what she sees as best for him even if that means she has to suffer. But he hates seeing her suffer and she doesn't seem to get that he'd rather see her happy than anything.

"Honestly Finn, this might be the last time you get to play with your band. I'll get checked out then I'll be on my way home. Everything is fine. I've called Sadie to come pick me up and I'll call you when I get home, I promise. Everything is going to be okay."

Finn sighs and shifts his feet, still unsure if he should listen to his girlfriend or his gut.

"Okay." he exhales hard, resigning himself to Millie's will, "Okay, just be safe. Don't hesitate to call me. . .please, I'll have my phone set up so I can see it."

"Okay, love, don't worry though." she assures him in her normal sweet voice that can truly get him to do anything, "I'll see you when you're done. . .I love you."

"I love you, too, babe. . . always." Finn can't help but smile as he presses 'end'. He loves love, and loves telling Millie he loves her. While he is worried about his beautiful Brit, he can't help but be happy with where they are in their relationship and the plans they are laying for their futures that look to be so bright and inextricably linked. What started as a truly beautiful friendship has blossomed into something he could never have imagined and this time he's had with Millie as her boyfriend has been beyond words. His love for her is omnipresent and never-failing. It's pure bliss.
