It's been an hour since the wedding finished, and it was a sunrise wedding kaya naman marami pang time gumala dito sa private island na pag-aari ng mga Dela Paz dahil alas singko pa yungstart ng reception. Ang weird diba? Ewan ko talaga sa mag-asawang yun, ba't di nalang ginawang lunch yung reception.
Kung sabagay, meron kasi silang mga family friends abroad na hindi makakaabot kapag lunch kaya napagdesisyunan nalang nila na gawing dinner yung reception at after party.
"Gabbie! Sama ka?" Tanong ni Kahlia. We're both sharing the same hotel room since malalaki naman yung mga rooms dito at wala din naman daw siyang kasama.
"Saan?" Tanong ko habang inaayos yung mga susuotin ko mamaya.
"Beach volley. Some of mine and kambal's colleagues are invited to the after-party rin kasi, tsaka pampalipas oras na lang din before the party." I looked at her at napakunot naman ang noo ko.
Colleagues? Does that mean Adelaide would be here as well?
"What? Sama ka na please!" Pagpupumilit pa ni Kahlia, I raised my arms and flopped them lazily back down as a sign of defeat. Bahala na pag andun si Adelaide. Pake ko?
"Fine, fine! Magbibihis lang ako, alright?" Sabi ko pa sa kaniya kaya napatili siya at tumango-tango.
"Hurry up please!" Pahuli niya kaya natawa ako. So impatient.
I only changed into some shorts and a white v-neck top and put on a white bikini underneath para makaligo nalang din sa dagat after the game. We haven't really explored the place and we have a lot of time to do it now.
I just wore black slides, and topped my look off with a high ponytail.
"I'm done!" Sigaw ko kay Kahlia saka lumabas na ng comfort room. She raked a look over me at ngumiti.
"Alright! Let's go!" Umalis na kaming dalawa sa room namin at iniwan na ang keycard sa reception area since mahirap na pag nawala yun sa kakalaro namin
Habang naglalakad kami papunta sa may beach court ay may tinanong si Kahlia.
"Why do I feel like you're hiding something from me and Seah?" Napatingin naman ako sa kaniya. Is she talking about Kade? Well if she is, I'm not hiding it, it's more like I'm just not ready to talk about it in front of them.
It's her twin we're talking about here for goodness sake. Hindi ba ang awkward 'non?
"Not really," Sabi ko at napakamot sa ulo.
I don't want to keep it a secret from them, but I also don't want to say it... just yet.
"Pero if ayaw mong sabihin Gabs, we're totally fine with it. I ship you naman with kambal eh, talo mo pa si Adelaide." Sabi pa niya. Funny how this woman knows so many things, feel ko may tinatago tong alter ego na psychic eh.
"Anyways, is she even here? Adelaide?" Tanong ko, napakibit-balikat naman siya.
"I don't know, I think so though. Sabi kasi ni Seah, invited raw yung mga batchmates namin at mga colleagues nila. Their colleagues and batchmates are basically ours as well since sa pare-parehong college naman kami gumraduate." She explained. Napatango nalang ako at nagkibit-balikat, wala naman na akong magagawa.
"Kaya pala. If you don't mind, uhm.. gaano na kayo katagal magkakilala? Like if she was your batchmate, at sabi niyo niligawan siya ni Kade for a long time, hindi ba dapat barkada niyo na rin siya?" Kahlia gave me a slightly confused look kaya,
"You don't have to answer it Kahls. Nagtatanong lang naman ako 'no." Pabiro kong sabi kaya natawa siya tsaka nagsalita.
"Well, I will. We've known her since our freshmen year in college. Pero nag-iba kami ng college in our third year nang dahil kay Hugo, at dun sila nagkakilala ni Seah. As you can probably tell, Kade, Hugo, Zave and I were grew up together and became childhood bestfriends. Kaya ayon, kahit hanggang sa pagcollege kasama parin." Kwento ni Kahlia.
