I slept with a heavy heart that night.

At yan ang naging rason kung bakit tinanghali rin ako ng gising ngayong araw.

Wearing a silk beige long-sleeved button down shirt tucked into some dark blue jeans and paired with white hightops, I graced into the mall kung saan kami dapat magkikita nila Seah.

It's already two in the afternoon, pero ala una yung napag-usapan namin kahapon.

"Sei, might run late today. Just text me which mall at diyan nalang tayo magkita." I texted nang matanto kung gaano nako kalate nagising.

My thoughts kept me up last night, with Kade and all of that. It made me wonder, it's been days since he said he'd court me pero, saan na siya? Saan na 'yong panliligaw na sinasabi niya? Not that I've expected anything, siguro, nadala na rin sa naging sitwasyon nila Daddy, pero..

Not even a text?

Is this how he courted Adelaide? Kasi kung oo, baka naman siguro may tamang dahilan kung bakit siya nireject non.

"Omg! Gabbie! I love your outfit!" Tili ni Kahlia nang makita ako, they were both eating at Potato Corner at agad naman akong tumabi.

I took a fry and gave them both a small smile. "Pasensya na nga pala at late ako, may tinapos lang kagabi."

"Naku! Okay lang 'yan no, you coming is like a miracle. Mabuti nga at naisingit mo pa kami sa schedule mo eh." Sabi ni Seah.

"Hindi, sorry if I haven't really reached out. I probably should have-" Kahlia cut me off and glared at me.

"You're so senti Gabs. We understand naman na super busy ka, tsaka naging mahirap din naman para sa'yo yung linggong 'to because of your father and everything- so there is no need to apologize." I sighed.

Her stare, reminds me of Kade. Sabagay kambal nga naman sila.

I wonder if she knows a thing or two about that Herrera girl and him? Will it seem too obvious?

"But anyways! Nandito tayo para magcelebrate hindi para magluksa! We need to like, plan a surprise for the boys ya know. I'm finding it hard to keep it from Hugo, it's like killing me inside." Sabi ni Seah at nilagay pa ang mga kamay sa dibdib as if she was dying.

We both laughed at her at pinag-usapan na ang upcoming surprise.

It's gonna be a very simple surprise. Just a dinner party at the Dela Paz's, and since lahat kami merong mga icecelebrate, we can also have a little after party sa mga Madrigal. Which makes me think again, alam na ba nilang nanlilligaw si Kade sakin?

I mean, panliligaw pa rin ba 'yong ginagawa niya? He hasn't done anything, so maybe it was all carried away by the spur of the moment? Hindi eh, kasi he seemed persistent. If he was persistent, wouldn't he be making a move right now?

Damn it, I am just gaslighting myself for no reason! Screw him.

Natauhan nalang ako nang marinig ang pangalan ni Louisse Herrera galing kay Kahlia. She suddenly looked frustrated, and I knew something was up.

"Bakit ka ba kasi naiirita diyan? Eh wala namang ginagawang masama yung tao?" Tanong pa ni Seah, napakunot naman ang noo ko at napatingin kay Kahlia na umiirap.

"She is! At! Babae ka, babae tayo, siyempre my fucking twin is denser than me. He surely doesn't have a clue or even have a hint of her leeching on him!" Reklamo pa niya at mas lalo lang akong naguluhan. Si Kade?

"Leeching is an overstatement-" ani Seah,

"It is an understatement Seah. Oh my gosh have you seen her just like go to our house? "Hang out" my ass!" I slightly irked at Kahlia's vulgarity. Sino ba 'tong pinag-uusapan nila?
