I ran to Little Vic, I needed to apologize in a proper way — firstly because I was a total bitch to Blythe and secondly because if I didn't, Diana and Ruby would be really mad at me. — so I grabbed an Iced Matcha Latte, a white chocolate cookie and a regular cookie to go, and I sat down in a table; I was going to write a letter, it would sound so much better than if I just prompted out an apology out of nowhere.

Hello Blythe,
I'm so sorry for what I did earlier, I

"No, no it doesn't sound right"

Mr. Blythe
What I did to you earlier today was greatly despicable, I could have never imagine myself being so rude. You

"No Anne, No! Not everything is about you"

Dear Gilbert,
I am so incredibly sorry for all the way I treated you earlier. Since you came back, you have done nothing but treat me with kindness. You have helped me with the English project, you walked with me to Photography and you were ever so nice to me the whole day.
I really would like us to be friends, to be good classmates at least.
I'll se you tomorrow,
Anne Shirley-Cuthbert

"Yes, that is decent." I said smiling, I folded the letter and asked for the barista if she could staple it to the cookie to go, which she kindly did.

I started to walk to Gilbert's house, I was so nervous, my heart was beating very fast and I couldn't even find the reason why I was feeling like that. Into the woods I started picking flowers and tying them to my hair, in between my braids and so I picked up my childhood habit and began to talk to them, asking questions about beauty, about if they ever had to worry about their equivalent of boys and if they ever managed to make someone upset. Of course, the flowers didn't answer but it felt good to at least let it out.

When I got to Gilbert's house, I banged on the door, and called his name repeatedly.

"Gilbert!" I shouted why slamming my hand in the wooden door. "Gilbert it's Anne! I know you might not want to talk to me but please answer! Gilbert! It's Anne, please open the door!"

And someone did, but not Gilbert. A tall man with ever so dark skin and a well cultivated beard opened up. I didn't know him, so it was really confusing.

"So you are Anne?"

I nodded, my eyebrows furrowed.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Bash."

"First of all, Bash I love your accent! It is so exquisite!" My eyes were shining with the combination of things that made up Bash "Where are you from? Or at least, where did you pick that accent up?"

"Ha! I like your way with words, Anne, you seem as clever as Gilbert told me about. I'm from Trinidad, Mrs. Anne."

"So you're an Islander, just like us! Oh is that ever so wonderful, I mean— Wait, did you say that Gilbert Talked about me to you?"

Bash laughed and gestured me to come in, then he proceeded to shout to Gilbert to come to the living room.

"Blythe! There's someone here for you, it is very important! Come on, get off your ass so we can talk."

I giggled at Bash's way of dealing with Blythe, it was similar to the way I dealt with him, but a little kinder, I assume.

"What is it Bash?" I heard him loudly from another room "Can't you deal with it?"

"I just said it's for you, didn't I, white boy?"

"It's okay bash" I whispered "I think I'm going home. Would you be so kind and give this to him?"

"Blythe sometimes can be as stupid as a rock. Yes, of course I can, thank you so much for coming by, please show up here more often."

I smiled widely and thought 'if the letter is good enough, I will.' Handing the cookie over to bash and heading to the door.

I walked out and stopped for a second to look at Gilbert's place, it was so nice and seemed so cozy, I liked it a lot, and Gilbert must do too. I turned around again and walked off the porch.

After about two minutes walking, I started to hear my name off in the distance. It came from behind me, so I stopped and waited for the voice to show up. The voice started getting cleared and cleared and cleared and I knew who it was from.

"Anne..." Gilbert appeared in front of me, breathing heavily. "Hi, Anne."

"Hi, Gilbert"
