As the plane took off, Daniel looked over at Amaya, raising an eyebrow. "Are you okay? They're... really persistent about you and Jonah."
"Well," she sighed, looking over at him with a shrug, "we are together. Just because I... doesn't mean he's not my boyfriend. And we've never really been super open about our relationship anyway, you know? They'll understand. Besides, it's not happening again."
"It's not happening again," he confirmed, but when they woke up from a spontaneous nap, her head on his shoulder and their fingers intertwined, they couldn't help feeling like something was happening. Something that would devastate Jonah.
