Christmas was over, and Olivia thanked her smart initiative that she brought a bigger suitcase with her, to fit all her gifts in. Nick was taking her to the airport, and she was saying her goodbyes to her family.

"Goodbye, guys." She spoke, hugging them both. "I'll be sure to bring Jeff at some point." With her suitcase in the car, she got in too and they drove off.

"You have no idea how handy that self stirring mug will be." Nick laughed, giving her her suitcase.

"I'll miss you, it sucks seeing you once a year." Olivia spoke. "I'll fly you all out next time."

"I miss you too, Liv. But your life is in LA, and we aren't going to pull you away from that."

She waved goodbye to her older brother, feeling like a child once again, heading into the airport.

vi🥺: coming home, finally.
vi🥺: at the airport

Her text to Jeff sent and she boarded the plane, hopeful to see him. He wanted to be back before her, so he could make sure the gifts weren't found. And he was. As her message sent, he was lying in bed, waiting for her to come back. Her gift to him was some movie tickets, a crater of snacks, and a homemade coupon booklet. She had given it to him all before she left, and now was his chance to return the gift.

"I'm home." He heard from the door. Her small feet walking around, eventually getting to the bedroom. His heart picked up pace, as he clutched the box in his hand. She walked in, none the wiser, and put her suitcase on the floor. Diving into bed, Jeff sat up and smiled at her. He pulled her into a hug and felt nervous.

"I have your presents." He stated. She looked excited and clapped her hands. He handed her the box, letting her open it. It contained a few joke presents, then some expensive clothes. And finally a note.

'Olivia,
My handwriting is probably unreadable. And whether that is due to my nervousness or my terrible handwriting, I don't know.
But I have something special for you.
You mean so much to me and the reason I'm writing this is because I wouldn't be able to get my words out properly if I were to say it.
I love you.
Simple as that.
You are the one for me, as cliche as that sounds. You're the reason I wake up so alive every morning, you're the reason I'm happy to be awake.
You're the reason I'm happy.
And for that, I'm grateful to have found a love like yours.'

She turned round to him, seeing the small box in his hand and him down on one knee.

"I know it's not the most romantic proposal, but Olivia, will you marry me?"

Olivia couldn't comprehend her excitement. She nodded and wiped her eyes. "Yes, of course!" She exclaimed.
