Tonight, everyone was going out. Clubbing and drinking. Which meant Olivia was at home alone. Despite David's persistence about staying with her, she told him that he needed footage. And she would be okay. She was editing the dance video she filmed with Mariah a few days ago, and she made herself laugh a few times. Her videos got the best responses with Mariah, and she couldn't wait to upload this one.
"I'm home." She heard from the door. David had put his camera and keys down on the pool table, joining her on the couch. "I know I was only gone a few hours but I wanted to come home and see how you were doing."
Olivia smiled and finished her video. "I just finished editing, and I ordered chipotle." She spoke, pointing to the burrito wrapper on the floor. David had grabbed her hand, pulling her up from where she was sitting. He had pulled her into a hug. A long, tight, David Dobrik hug. "I can't express how proud I am of you. You've been so amazing and I'm so glad we're closer. You're the best friend I could've ever asked for."
"Wanna watch something in your room?" She asked. They both made snacks, drinks and got cosy in David's bed, watching a series that had just been released. Olivia felt tired but she knew how happy David was to be spending time with her, she couldn't leave. She put her head down on his shoulder, closing her eyes for a few minutes. But fell asleep. David hadn't noticed until he turned the TV off and heard her little snores. He had darkened the room and got into bed with her, his arm around his best friend. Over the past few years they'd known each other, David felt closer and closer to Olivia, and felt like her older brother, even though she's older than him. He felt protective of her and felt a certain way around Jeff, even though he is still friends with Jeff.
He heard Olivia's phone beep.

He looked away from her lock screen and put her phone down, devising to fall asleep himself.
