"Wow, Liv. You look incredible." David spoke, grabbing her hand and leading her out to his Tesla. She was shaking with nerves, not knowing where she was going and why she was dressed like this. "And before you even attempt to ask, I'm not telling you anything."

The longest ten minutes of my life. She thought to herself, the car coming to a halt. She sighed in relief, the door being opened by Zane. Who led her through an empty park, to some table and chairs. Dinner outside? Jeff was a romantic, she couldn't deny that. She sat down, being handed a champagne glass with a clear liquid.

"It's sparkling water." Natalie whispered, winking as she walked away.

And finally, the man himself sat down opposite her. He smiled his perfect smile and she couldn't stop herself from smiling. "All of this? This is amazing, Jeff." Who has responded with a head nod.

Throughout the night, their friends handed them plates of food as they spoke together. After her last bite of chocolate cake and cream, she huffed in ecstasy. This was the perfect night, and was going to be ended on a high note. Jeff grabbed Olivia's left hand, down on one knee beside her. "Olivia, I have no idea how you're going to react to this or what you're going to say but I need to say it because I can't wait any longer. I need you, I want you. I know we've been through so much together and the fact we come back to each other every time just proves to me that you're my one. Waking up every single day beside you is a dream, I've wanted nothing more. And there's a hole in my chest whenever I think about the pain I've caused you. And I never want to hurt you ever again. I never will. I love you so much, Olivia. Will you marry me?"

Olivia was silent.
Shocked.
She couldn't comprehend what had happened.
Her brain was spinning and she couldn't put a word together.
All she could do was nod, over and over again as the tears spilled.

She heard all of her friends erupt into cheers and Jeff slid the ring onto her finger. They sealed it with a peck, not wanting to be too steamy in front of their friends.
