"She is the cutest baby I've ever seen." Josh spoke.
"What about your own?" David asked, the room laughing.
"What about him?" Josh added, laughing along with David. Olivia and Jeff were watching their friends from afar, seeing them all in awe over their child.
When they first arrived, Jeff was skeptical about people holding her as he 'didn't want Grace to be overwhelmed'. But, with persuasion from Olivia, he backed down and let the godparents do their job. Todd was cradling Grace and had the magical gift of stopping her from crying. Natalie had the same effect, so they had chosen the godparents correctly. Olivia was in the arms of her husband, watching his protectiveness become evident through his eyes.
"Should I intervene? Grace seems overwhelmed." Jeff spoke, looking down at Olivia.
"She's fine, they're just in love with our child at the moment. She's brand new, let them have their moment. Also, she's sound asleep in David's arms. Just relax." Olivia explained, rubbing his back. He had pressed a kiss to her forehead and sighed.
"I'm so glad she's finally here, she's the cutest baby the world has ever seen." Jeff spoke. "She's so precious and small, her fingers are so teeny tiny. And she barely cries."
More and more friends had turned up, greeting the couple with gifts and seeing the new baby. Just as Jeff was showing her around, cradling her in his arms, Olivia got a call from her mom. She stepped into the garden, answering it.
"Hey sweetie, how's the baby? How are you?" She asked.
"I'm okay, mom. Everyone's round looking at her."
"Well I called to let you know, the flights are all booked and so is the villa." Her mom spoke.
"Great news, I'll let Jeff know."
"Okay honey, see you next month."
"See you, mom."
Olivia and Jeff, along with Grace, and both of their families were going on holiday in the summer. Luckily, Grace would be about 4 months old by then. So she wouldn't be fresh out of the womb and in the sun.
Olivia kisses Jeff's cheek, telling him the news of the villa and flight confirmation. Obviously, they couldn't take the dogs, which Carly and Erin were secretly happy about. Which also meant they knew who to go to about dog sitters. Jeff handed Grace to Olivia, her small face scrunched up as she cried immediately after leaving her fathers arms.
"Daddy's girl." Olivia whispered and giggled at Jeff, who had managed to stop her tears from just holding her.
