They'd spent a week here, filming with her parents and Nicholas. And she'd put up a video, so she didn't need to worry until next week. Now, they were on their way to New York. They both rolled their suitcases downstairs to the doorstep, Nicholas waiting to take them to the airport. He had helped Olivia with her bags, along with Jeff and began their journey home. Jeff smiled at Olivia, engaging in conversation with her brother. Olivia sat their in peace, watching Jeff's face light up as he spoke about his life in LA. This is the Jeff she loved the most; sure, she loved the sexy side of him as well as every other side. But the true Jeff, a big softie with a gorgeous smile. To everyone else who watches the videos, he's a big, strong tough guy but he's different around her. A good different.
"The flight won't be long, so we can get some rest before Staten Island." Jeff whispered lightly into her hair. Olivia's head fell onto his shoulder, just as they had reached the airport. After saying their goodbyes, they headed off to board their flight. Olivia's hand remained in Jeff's the whole time, until they finally sat in their plane seats. Even then, Jeff was still playing with the rings on her fingers. He felt disheartened that the engagement ring wasn't there, but they hadn't reached that point yet. And he didn't even know when the appropriate time to re-propose was.
"Why did that flight kill me?" Olivia mumbled, flopping into bed. They were in Jeff's old room, and she was staring at an old picture of him with an amused smile. He was finding them both comfortable clothes for after their shower. They'd spent the rest of the day with Jeff's parents and sister, who Olivia had warmed up to. And, like any other parents, Jeff's were embarrassing him. But Olivia thought it was all cute, and how he was so grown up and mature now. "Let's have that shower." Jeff spoke, grabbing her hands and pulling her up.
It wasn't sexual, the touch of their bare bodies was comforting. It was that or the fact they were exhausted from the flight. But they stood their together, cleaning themselves. Jeff pressing a few kisses onto her head, her arms around him. And they'd decided it was time to finally go to bed. Olivia in Jeff's shirt, Jeff in his boxers, they both laid in bed together, in a comfortable silence. Jeff's fingers grazed over her cheek repeatedly, a soothing sleep mechanism for Olivia. And as soon as she'd fallen asleep, Jeff had too.
