Lauren's POV

"I couldn't help but notice you were like the only person here that's also not drinking" she chuckled. "Hi my names Lisa, what's yours?" The beautiful girl asked me.

Why could I suddenly not remember my name? Oh my gosh, why am I so nervous.. I took a deep breath. "Hi, my names Lauren! And yeah, i don't like drinking, it's nice knowing someone else doesn't drink." I laughed.

She reciprocated the laugh. "Well it's nice to meet you Lauren! This party is crazy isn't it?" She smiled, trying to start a conversation.

"It's nice to meet you too! But yes it is crazy, it's been a while since I've been in this kind of environment, and I needed a break from the craziness." I said, slowly calming down.

"It's actually been a while for me also. I saw that you were sober, so I thought it would be a relief to have a normal conversation." She laughed. "Hey, I know a place here where we can get away from the craziness for a little bit. Maybe just sit and talk somewhere if you would want to?" She asked, I could tell she was nervous also.

I thought for a few seconds if that's what I wanted, and it would be nice. Maybe it would calm my nerves down completely. "Yeah, that sounds nice! I'm gonna tell my sister real quick, and then we can go." I said, looking for Dani.

She nodded her head. I stood up looking for Dani, but I couldn't see her so I just decided to go anyway. "I can't see her, let's just go anyway. If she needs me she'll text me." I chuckled.

"Follow me then." She smiled, as she lead the way.

Lisa's POV

I stood there for a couple minutes, thinking of what I wanted to do. Something in me just kept telling me to go talk to her. I let her sit there for a little bit by herself. I finally got the courage, so I headed her way. I seen that she was on her phone.

"Hey, is this seat taken?" I spit out, not knowing exactly what to say to her.

The girl looked up from her phone at me, and just stared at me for a few seconds. She looked like she was in shock. "Uh, n- no, it's o- open." She finally replied.

I took that as my opportunity. She looked really nervous, and I didn't know if it was because of me or not. I kinda just sat there for a minute or two. So I decided to try and start a conversation with her, obviously I was so nervous my hands were sweating. "I couldn't help but notice you were like the only person here that's also not drinking" I chuckled. "Hi, my names Lisa, what's yours?" I asked dying to know.

She didn't say anything at first, but I saw her take a deep breath. "Hi, my names Lauren! And yeah, i don't like drinking, it's nice knowing someone else doesn't drink." She laughed. Oh my gosh, her laugh was the cutest thing I've ever heard. I wanted to hear her laugh for the rest of my life. It was so contagious.

I laughed with her, "Well it's nice to meet you Lauren! This party is crazy isn't it?" I said, smiling, seeing everyone act like animals around us.

"It's nice to meet you too! But yes it is crazy, it's been a while since I've been in this kind of environment, and I needed a break from the craziness." She replied.

Wow, we already have something in common, I thought to myself. "It's actually been a while for me also. I saw that you were sober, so I thought it would be a relief to have a normal conversation." I wanted to keep talking to her, but somewhere more quiet, and maybe get to know her more. I knew the perfect place to go if she was up for it. "Hey, I know a place here where we can get away from the craziness for a little bit. Maybe just sit and talk somewhere if you would want to?" I asked her, hoping she'd say yes.

She sat there for a few seconds, I could tell she was still a little nervous and wasn't completely sure. I was sure she'd say no, but to my surprise she smiled, "Yeah, that sounds nice! I'm gonna tell my sister real quick, and then we can go." She said looking around. I smiled and nodded my head. She got up and looked around for a minute, "I can't see her, let's just go anyway. If she needs me she'll text me." She laughed. Oh my gosh, her laugh makes my heart melt every time.

"Follow me then." I smiled at her, helping her stand up and started walking towards the place.

"So where are you taking me again? You're not going to murder me are you?! She nervously chuckled.

I laughed back, "no I promise, it's a surprise but I think you'll like it. It's probably my favorite spot at this house."

After a couple flights of stairs, we walked in the room and out a window onto the roof. It was such a clear night, you could see stars for miles.

"Oh my gosh, it's beautiful up here!" She said amazed by the view.

"It sure is, I thought you'd like it." I smiled, laying my hoodie down so she could sit on it.

"Oh thank you, you didn't have to give me your hoodie." She blushed.

"It's not a problem at all, I don't want you to get your pants dirty or anything."

We sat there for a few minutes just taking in the view that we had in front of us. I would casually glance at her, I couldn't help myself she was just so stunning. I think she could tell I was looking at her, because she would smile every once in a while. She tried to hide it, but I could see it and it only made me smile more.

I think I might keep it mainly in Lisa's POV, and still do Lauren's but just not as much.
