"What the hell is this??" I opened the medieval letter, reading it with a confused expression until I read 'Princess Ball'.
My eyes widened and my heart stopped.
The horror.
"NOOOO--!" I was interrupted by my door opening abruptly, showing Bow screaming loudly. "Princess Prom!! Come on (Y/N)!!" He grabbed my arm and lead me to Glimmer's room, after a few seconds we heard Adora's voice. "Uh, hey, guys? I got an invite for the All-Princess Ball, Winter Wonderland. Do you know what this is?"
Adora NO!!
Both Bow and Glimmer opened the door for Adora, I fell on the ground as they started dancing. "Princess Prom! Princess Prom! Princess Prom! We are going to Princess Prom!" I was sitting on my legs as they danced, looking annoyed. "Okay, you've gone crazy, got it. I'll come back later." I was helped by Bow to stand. "The Ball is a meeting of Etheria's princesses."
"And a giant party!" Glimmer teleported next to me and Adora. "Dancing, food, fancy dresses!" She said as she spinned us. "Dancing?" Asked Adora, honestly, she looked terrified, but so am I. "It only happens once a decade. I've been waiting YEARS for this!"
"Uh I'm only a princess sometimes, (Y/N) is as much as princess as you. Are you sure I should even go?" Glimmer smiled brightly. "Of course. Every princess is invited. That includes you and (Y/N)." I facepalmed. I hated being in front of many people, even less with a fancy dress.
"Oh, yeah. It's all in the invite." Said Bow, grabbing the invitation and opening it, it rolled to the floor and stopped when it touched the wall, making me and Adora wince slightly before I grab it, reading it aloud for us. "Rules for greeting the hostess: Curtsy depth, Stair-descending etiquette?"
"The Ball has been going on for centuries. There's a lot of old etiquette stuff you gotta do before you can part." Adviced Bow. "But it's gonna be fun! And Princess Frosta is hosting in the Kingdom of Snows. Her magic is incredibly powerful. She'd be a huge get for the Rebellion."
I whimpered and fell on the couch next to the window. Glimmer sat next to me, patting my back. "Don't worry, (Y/N). I'll be with you, and so will Bow since he's my plus one!"
"Uh actually--"
"Together the four of us can handle anything!"
"About that--"
"It's the Best Friend Squad in action! Right, Bow?" Glimmer turned to Bow. "I'm going with Perfuma." Ouch...
"WHAT??" Adora and I looked at each other, kind of uncomfortable as Glimmer's happy expression was now showered with frustration. I grabbed Adora's arm and we both got out of the princess' room, I bet they would like some privacy on this. "I don't wanna go to this ball..." I heard Adora mutter.
