Last chapter... I'm crying inside.

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Catra ran as she held my hand tight in hers, Horde Prime started to hack into the planet faster and I almost couldn't believe it, yet the green in the ancient walls and how sick I felt proves everything. I am connected to the Heart because of Galaxy's magic, if it's sick then I am too, but all I can do now is swallow my pain to ensure my friends are safe.

"There she is! What the--?!" Catra gets interrupted by a loud growl, it was the biggest insectoid I've ever seen, hovering over a wounded Adora. The catgirl attacked the creature, miraculously hitting it in one of its eyes and making it fall on its back. Catra landed in front of Adora, turning her head with a nervous smile decorating her lips. "Hey, Adora."

"Catra! (Y/N)! You can't be here...! It's too dangerous!" She tried to get up, and before she could fall forward she was held by Shadow Weaver. "Shadow Weaver?" I helped the woman to get Adora up. "I'm not leaving you here! Both of us will keep our promise!" Adora stared at me with an unreadable expression.

"Get (Y/N) to the Heart! I'll take care of this thing!" I turned to meet Catra's eyes. "No, Catra! You're coming with us!" But Shadow Weaver took my arm before I could help the catgirl. Catra looked at me, she looked so sad, so destroyed. "I'll catch up, ok? Get to the Heart."

"No, no...! Catra!" I closed my eyes, trying to keep myself from crying, and kept walking away with Shadow Weaver and Adora. I'm scared, I'm so scared.

"You should move on! The Heart is not too far from here!" Shadow Weaver advised me, but I'm too stubborn. I'm not leaving my best friend, the one that has loved me for so long, alone and wounded. "I'm not leaving Adora!" The blonde, weakly, rested a hand on mine, I don't remember when was the last time she did that.

As we helped Adora walk down the long corridor, the ceiling started to rumble, the war is continuing, Horde Prime won't stop until we are nonexistent, until we give up. Sometimes I wonder why there are people so cruel as to do this, it doesn't make sense, I will never understand the pleasure of hurting others.

I gasped when I heart it. It was like hearing my heartbeat. It was glowing with rainbow light.

The failsafe shines as bright as ever, feeling some kind of pressure in my blood. I felt so much power and magic coming from it.

A piercing scream reaches our ears, the familiar shout made me lose my attention on the Heart, and the powerful magic vanished from my body. Adora looked back, her eyes widening in concern. "Catra!" Adora and I screamed. The blonde breaks out of Shadow Weaver's grasp and when I start running after her I was stopped by the woman in black.

"What do you think you're doing?! You have a duty! You have to get to the Heart!" I freed myself from Shadow Weaver's hold. I stood there in silence, I wanted to do this, but now I-- "You don't know what you want either." I stared up at her, tears freely running down. "Nobody knows what they want until this kind of situation comes at hand. You're confused, and I understand that everything happening is too much to take in."
