I was already awake when I heard about the failsafe.

Entrapta managed to take the chip from my neck, but apparently, it was mixing itself with my body, so I guess she took it in time. My neck hurts a lot, my automatic regeneration didn't fully heal it, for that I might need more time.

At least I woke up in time to listen to Shadow Weaver and Castaspella talking about the Heart of Etheria and the failsafe, I wanted to open my mouth to say something from the room, but Catra had disappeared and Adora didn't seem too happy about it. Maybe I should stay quiet, but I'm afraid they will run into a trap for nothing.

The Heart's not made for a weak soul, Adora might have been willing to take it, She-Ra might have been able to take it... But I can't let her undo my lineage's mistake. Catra and Adora still have a future, Glimmer and Bow, and everyone in Etheria has a future. Maybe that's why I was brought here...

"Queen (Y/N)?" I realized I was staring at the ceiling, for a moment I thought I was dead. When I looked to the side I was surprised to see Shadow Weaver moving the curtains aside to step in. I don't know her as Adora and Catra do, but somehow I feel kind of comfortable around her, after all, she was the one that told me who I am.

"Shadow Weaver, is something wrong?" I had to ask. I don't know how to talk to her in a way that she might not get offended. To say that I'm afraid is an understatement. "You were chipped. Of course there's something wrong." Ouch.

Shadow Weaver stopped in front of my bed, not once taking her eyes from my form. "(Y/N), you are the queen of Etheria and you let yourself be chipped by a lowly princess of water." I rolled my eyes in annoyance. I knew it was true, but I wouldn't say Mermista is not strong, she took the air out of my lungs two times before I could do anything.

"I know, I know..." A long moment of silence went by, and the woman started to walk away, but I called out to her, making her stop. "You... You know everything about my lineage, about Galaxy. I have learned many things from you, Bow's dads and Galaxy's father, but... Why me? Why am I here? Why was I brought to Etheria?"

She sighed. "You still don't understand. Do you?" Shadow Weaver turned to me once more, this time she sat on the end of the bed next to me. "Galaxy's granddaughter didn't marry, she wasn't old enough, and the three of them died the moment the First Ones finished the Heart of Etheria... You, (Y/N), are labeled as a successor to the throne, but not because you share the blood of the first queen... It's because YOU are her reincarnation."

"But-- B-But that's impossible, I wasn't born here." I said, my voice stuttering and low. When the woman in black didn't say anything I looked over at her with widening. "Shadow Weaver...?"

She wasn't looking at me, not even a single glance, not even when she spoke. "You were born in Etheria... Close to the ruins of Galaxy's palace. You were like no other species on this planet, your small body was adorned in black with stars, at least... Until I held your hand." I clenched my fists, my eyes forming tears.

"I brought you to Mystacor without anyone knowing, and when I started studying your state, your powers, your lineage... I knew I had to get you out of this planet. That being said, I casted a spell on you, that way you would return with 18 to Etheria to take your throne." Shadow Weaver looked at me. I couldn't see her expression beneath that mask, but the eyes said everything. "You couldn't stay here, everyone would have made you a slave, only using you as a resource to defeat The Horde. I wanted you to stay... But thinking of the mistakes I have made with Adora and Catra... I am glad I didn't take you under my wing."
