I was surprised when i met my father for breakfast and found Kizan seated waiting for me
I smiled at him. His lips quirked slightly as he began to serve me. I smiled at the gesture it was something he used to do before.
Sinik sat across from us with a scowl. I ignored his temper even though the memory of his kiss made me feel guilty and hot all at the same time
I told myself that there was nothng to feel guilty for he was spending all this time with another female and we had not been together in a year. Maybe our time was done. Maybe too much time had passed and we lost our chance.
His voice cut through my rambling thoughts
"Eat" he rasped into my ear. He pressed a kiss to my cheek as he began to make his own plate
I looked to my father smiling as Taylen laid asleep across his lap. I kissed his forehead.
"Dad i need to talk to you after breakfast"
He nodded silently
He didn't ask why? he knew if i didnt say what for in front of the others, then i meant for it to be private.
Emil and Nax were absent this morning i suddenly noticed.
A few seats down on the the opposite side of our table, Kizan' s "friend" sat chatting with some other dragon females
I ignored her as she continued looking over at me and Kizan
I ate in silence but slowly grew agitated and offended when i subetly witnessed Kizan sneaking glances at his "friend"
I sighed trying to ignore it. Sinik's gaze caught mines and said it all. He saw it as well. He never missed anything truthfully.
His perception being one of his most admirable qualities. Not now however it was just honestly annoying
After another poorly hidden glance her way
I slammed my hand on the table rattling the dishes
I shot to my feet. I noticed how several dragons looked alarmed and others' hackles raised at my aggression
I didn't care. I had never faced a dragon before but i was certain i could defeat one if i tried. No one truly knew how powerful i could be. My father and Sinik saw a mere glimpse back at the facility. the truth was if i was a more villainous person they all would be in serious trouble.
"GO!" i growled at him barely holding onto the rage that seared my insides and fired my blood
"You keep staring at her so go. We are finished here" i sneered at him
He looked taken aback but stood looking at me with concern. My hands shook with my anger. how dare he sit beside me, kiss me and pretend all while looking at another. repeatedly
Did he really thing i would not notice?
I saw her hide a smirk from my peripheral which only increased my anger. He made a fool of me.
"Ayla"..He tried
"DO NOT AYLA ME!"
By now all eyes watched us but i couldn't care less
"GO Kizan!" i shouted again
He stood motionless not refuting my claims even the slightest
"You clearly no longer want me. so go"
"I will not. you are being irrational" he stated calmly
"Ayla!" my father called urgenty
I looked to him alarmed at his tone
