Chaos and shouts ricocheted off the halls outside but i ignored it all as i stared down at my mother. Intense emotion slammed into me. Then unabashed tears leaked down as I stared at her frozen form; seemingly peacefully laid in the bed
I couldn't believe she was alive or whatever this was
What was wrong with her?
An idea sprang in my mind at the question. With a simple touch i could surely find out; not just that but everything that had happened to her.
Indecision warred in me as the voices outside neared
I couldn't leave everyone i knew and loved behind especially my mother ; I had thought of her for so long, the temptation to know why she fled was potent.
Finally I acquiesced; too desperate to know regardless of the punishment Dakkar would surely inflict down on me from my continued betrayal
I needed to know what happened to her
I kneeled down beside her bed and reached out to touch her
I took a deep breath and halted my hand mentally preparing myself for what i might would see
Then i closed my eyes, steadied my breath and gripped her hand concentrating hard
Moments later i was hurling through that so familiar void; Slamming into the ground as i entered the past
Instantly i recongnized the facility i was born and lived in my entire life.
i stood up quickly looking around. Immediately I heard two people whispering heatedly nearby stirring my curiosity. I hurried to the sound and halted as i watched them argue
The woman held the child cooing softly as the man paced with anger
Dad
He looked at the woman as did i closely, she was camouflaged as Sinik was; her hair no longer blue but blonde and her heterochromia eyes masked as a deep green color
My mother Adora
"You cant leave Adora. What will i do without you!" he whispered yelled with distress
"Hunter you are the strongest male i know you can do this. If i knew what my mother did i never would h........." she paused her words strained with emotion
He stilled his pacing and looked down at her his eyes shifting between her and the bundle in her arms
His eyes suddenly watered; I had never seen my father cry before
My mothers gaze softened
"I'm so sorry Hunter. you should never have been with me. i have doomed you both" she said cried quietly as tears streamed down her face while she stared down at me heartbrokenly
He moved toward her clutching us both
"NO! i would have rather had you for some time then never at all. I Love you Adora. If you must do this. I support you."
"She can never know about me Hunter or what she really is, they will kill her or worse"
My dad looked pained but nodded
"Okay. But promise me you will never forget us" he said as he pecked her lips softly. reverently
" NEVER! one day we can hopefully all be together again." She pulled out a necklace from her pocket "When the time is right give this to her " She said handing him the trinket
