I woke up to see that Clementine was gone and I was cold and alone in my empty bed.

I shot up, pulled on socks and shoes and flung open my door. I rushed down the steps and into the courtyard.

The weather was terrible. It was rainy, cloudy, and menacing.

I looked around frantically, trying to find my Clementine.

A light touch tapped on my shoulder gingerly and I whipped around out of urgentness and slight fear only to see my beautiful girl's face.

"Let's go inside. It's going to storm." She cooed to me.

We walked inside and she lead me into the piano room.

As soon as I sat down, I heard her close the door. It was pretty early in the morning for the other kids. Everyone stayed up way too late and therefore, slept in way too late.

"I miss when you used to play." She solemnly said as we both sat at the piano bench.

"Me too." I signed and looked at the keys which were just begging to be played.

I pressed down on three keys, creating a nostalgic sound and soon enough, my fingers led to playing a farmilliar song, one that Clementine began humming to.

I looked at her with love in my eyes, begging her to sing.

"Sing." I signed with my hands after halting them from playing more.

I put my hand over hers which was rested on the edge of the piano where the keys stopped.

I reached for the papers sitting on the stand and handed them to her.

"Pick." I signed and smiled at her, she smiled back.

She flipped through the pages until she eyed one out, folding over the page and hanging it back to me.

I looked at the song.

"Say you wont let go. I love that song. Or... loved... I guess. I think it's cute." She sweetly explained.

I placed the music on the stand and played the first few intro notes and looked at her when she was cued to start singing.

"I met you in the dark, you lit me up... you made me feel as though, I was enough... We danced the night away, we drank too much... I held you hair back when you were throwing up..."

Her voice was beautiful. At least to my ears. It was really sweet and welcoming and it would be a really nice voice to listen to while you're being put to sleep. If only Aj would make her sing from time to time to him... he would know how great she really was.

"And then you smil-" her voice cracked.

She cleared her voice quickly and her cheek and ears turned dark red.

"It's okay. Start from the pre-chorus." I smiled.

I started the pre-chorus over again as she restarted as well, still with slight embarrassment in her face.

"And then you smiled over your shoulder, for a minute I was stone cold sober... I pulled you closer to my chest... And you asked me to stay over, I said I already told you, I think that you should get some rest..."

Her cheeks and ears turned a darker red as she smiled sheepishly at me.

I felt her eyes and looked back at her while still pressing the correct keys.

Clem's embarrassed...

I stopped playing and stood in front of her looking down at her darkened face which was now staring at her shoes.
