(FEM READER)
My family has always been friends with the Baynard family. Jerry is my best friend, we do everything together. Both of my parents passed away several years ago. I live with my brother, Thomas. Thomas tries to forget about what happened to our parents so he sold most of the items that belonged to them. Little does he know, I keep a small chest of items under Jerry's bed. He promised to hide them there because we knew if my brother found them he would be furious. I have never shown anyone what was in the chest, not even Jerry.
I had walked over to Jerry's home earlier to surprise his sister for her birthday. I decided to make her a new dress with some fabric I found around my house. I lifted my hand and knocked on their front door. A few moments passed when the door creaked open. I was greeted with the smiling face of Jerry Baynard.
"Bonjour y/n!" He exclaimed, gesturing for me to come in.
"I'm here to give your sister her birthday gift!" I told him.
"She went for a walk with our parents." He mentioned.
I set the box down on the table.
"Do you mind if I go look at the box?" I asked quietly.
"Of course not." He replied.
I started walking to Jerry's room. I reached under the bed and pulled out the box. My birthday was just a few days ago and there were some dresses that belonged to my mother that would probably fit me. As I was looking through old jewelry, dresses, and letters I felt the weight on the bed shift beside me.
I lifted my head to see Jerry sitting next to me.
"I know that you can get sad sometimes and I didn't want you to be alone." He said. "I can leave if you want." He continued.
"No, stay. I want to try on my mother's dresses and I need your opinion." I told him.
He nodded, "You can change in my sisters' room."
I took one of the dresses and walked into another room. Slipping it over my head, a weird feeling hovered over me. The dress fit perfectly and it swayed a bit when I was walking to Jerry's room. He was reading a book when I walked in.
"How do I look?" I asked timidly.
He stared at me, mouth slightly open.
"Beautiful." He admitted, blushing. "The most beautiful thing I've ever seen."
"Thank you." I replied.
