Living with my older brother was always a challenge. When we aren't fighting it's because he's at work. Our parents died right after I was born. Safe to say that when they died we were left with money to keep us going for a while. We owned a beautiful home down the street from the Andrews.

Prissy has been like an older sister to me, always giving me advice. I am always at their home when Jackson is at work. Sometimes he works nights, leaving me home alone. On these nights, I tend to go to the Andrews house. Prissy's parents have almost taken me in as one of their own, so they have no problem with me staying the night. School had just got out for the summer and I  was laying in my bed reading when Jackson walked in.

"We need to talk." He said, sitting on my bed.

I closed my book, giving him my attention.

"I have to go on a trip for work." He said, looking down.

"That's alright, how long?" I asked.

"2 months." He explained.

"2 months?" I cried.

"I know you hate being left alone, so I talked to Mrs. Andrews." He started.

I jumped up from my bed in excitement.

"Do I get to stay there?" I asked.

"Yes, she said you're welcome to stay." He said with a smile.

"Pack your bag, I'm leaving today." He stated, motioning to my bag.

He stood up and hugged me, kissing the top of my forehead.

"I'll miss you, but have fun." He joked.

I nodded and walked towards my closet. I began to pull out almost all of my dresses, folded them neatly, putting them in my bag.

"The carriage is here!" I heard Jackson shout.

"Coming!" I shouted from the top of the stairs.

I ran down the stairs to see Jackson outside getting into the carriage. It was a short ride to the Andrews' house. When I arrived at the house, Jane and Prissy ran outside.

"This is going to be so exciting!" Prissy shouted.

All that could be heard was squealing and shouting from the 3 of us.

"Gee, I don't get a hug y/n." Billy joked from the door.

I walked over to him, giving him a hug. He winked at me when we pulled apart.

"I'm to set off now," Jackson said. "Take good care of her." He requested, looking at Billy.

"I will. See you soon Jack." Billy replied.

Jane and Prissy practically dragged me to the guest room, sitting on the bed to discuss so many things. We were all sitting on the bed talking, when we heard a soft knock on the door frame.

"Ladies, dinner is ready." Billy said, giving a dramatic bow and heading downstairs. Jane and Prissy glanced at each other before laughing.

"What's so funny?" I asked.

"Billy likes you! We can tell." They both whispered.

"That's just silly." I said, thinking about it.

"We should go." Jane suggested, giggling.

I was shocked, but I followed the girls downstairs.

We all ran downstairs and had a wonderful dinner. Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed Billy staring at me. I pushed away the thoughts I was having that Billy may actually like me and focused on the conversations. When the dinner was over, Jane and Prissy went to wash up before bed. I had already washed up and decided it was time to read. I was laying in bed reading my book when I heard a knock on my closed door.

"Come in." I said, not looking up from my book.

"It's me. I just wanted to bring you some extra blankets because sometimes it can get cold in here." Billy mentioned.

I looked up from my book, giving him a warm smile.

"I know that sometimes I get cold when I'm in here, so I wanted to make sure you're comfortable." He said, smiling.

"Thank you, Billy." I said, patting the seat next to me.

He sat next to me on the bed, getting under the covers.

"Can I ask you something?" I piped up.

"Anything." He replied.

"Why are you being so nice to me? I mean you're always nice to me, but this is more than usual." I commented.

"Jackson told me to take care of you." He said, clearly hiding something.

"I know you're hiding something, just tell me." I pleaded, placing my hand on his.

He said nothing but leaned in to kiss me. I kissed back, it was only a brief moment but it was magical. When we pulled apart he spoke up.

"If I'm being honest, I think I'm in love with you. I have been in love with you ever since I've known you." He admitted.

"I love honesty Billy, you know that. See what happens when you're honest? We kiss." I joked.

The two of us laughed as I snuggled into his arms. He picked up my book and began to read to me, I quickly fell asleep. I felt a soft kiss on my forehead before completely falling into sleep.
