TW: slight mentions of abuse, Fighting
Roman's POV:
I was speechless. Everyone was, even Logan. Patton was silently crying his eyes out, still staring at Anxiety's torso. On his torso was scars of different shapes and sizes, some where deep some were shallow. Some looked like they were old and faded but most of them looked about less than a month recent. There were purple and yellow bruises surrounding the scars and his chest. Tears were pricking at the corner of my eyes as I scanned his torso. The one scar that caught my eye was the one that was sticking out like a sore thumb on his chest, worded 'Villain'. I look over at Logan to hopefully get some answers but he was just standing there, shocked. Looking back at Anxiety, I saw his eyes glow a dark shade of purple as he stated to panic. I snapped back to reality and put my hand on his knee. Bad choice.
Virgil's POV:
As soon as I felt someone touch me I bolted up, breaking the cuffs and chain that was on me. My eyes were scanning the room for a way out. There! The doors unguarded. I grabbed my hood that was lying on the floor, catching the hero's of guard, I sprinted out of the room. The hero's were shouting and running after me but that only spurred me on. I'm in what I'm pretty sure is the living room and I looked around for any kind of exit. I saw out the window was a fire escape leading down or up. They will think that I went down, so I'll go up. I used the wind to smash the window and climbed up the ladder. I got halfway up before I looked down and saw Logic's head stick out the window, looking up and down. When he saw me he shouted to Princey and Morality. Panic and fear rushing through me, I picked up the pace with climbing.
Once I got to the roof, I ran over to the edge to see if there was a building I could jump to. And thanks to my luck, there wasn't. My hood was flapping against the breeze, the coldness of it hitting my bare skin, making goosebumps riddle my body. My eyes widened as I heard a set of feet reach the roof. "Anxiety, step away from the edge!" Morality yelled. I chocked back my fear and panic and put on my sarcastic facade. I turned back to face them with a smirk on my face. "Now why would I do that? I don't want to be stuck with you any longer. Hell, I barely stand you guys when we're fighting" I said. That's a lie. I liked their presence, it was comforting and as long as I was away from Deciet and Remus I could stand them. Princey put a hand to his chest and made 'offended Princey noises' as I liked to call them. "Rude" Princey said, mocking a hurt tone.
I held back a chuckle. Logic stepped forward. "As I see it, you would be better with us rather than the people that hurt you Anxiety" He stated. My blood ran cold and my smirk was wiped of my face. "Whatever you saw on my body, forget it. I deserved it anyway" I growled. Everyone held a shocked expression. Even logic and he's usually expressionless! "What did you do that made you deserve all of those scars and bruises?" And of course Pricey would ask that. "None of your business!" I snapped. "Who did this to you? We can help you!" Morality protested. The shadows were creeping around me again, whispering. You know what will happen if you tell. No one can help you. Your far to broken to be fixed or saved. "Your right. I know I can't" I muttered.
The hero's were coming towards me now. I scared for their safety as I saw the shadows rear up like snakes. I have to do something. I raised my hands up to the sky, summoning storm clouds, thunder rumbling and lightning flashing. I could feel my eyes glowing a dark purple. The sun that was once shining was now covered, making the world go into complete darkness. "I'm sorry. But I don't want you to get hurt from the shadows" I said to myself. I flicked my hand towards the hero's, who were in a fighting stance with confusion evident on their face. Three purple lightning bolts hit the ground only inches away from hitting them. They jumped back and almost tripped over each other. When they steadied themselves, Princey had flames surrounding his hand, Morality was rising a foot off the ground and Logic was in a crouching position with one hand on the floor and the other hand up in the air.
Princey shot a stream of flames at me but I rolled to the side, ignoring the ache of the bruises. I counted back another lightning bolt at him. It didn't hit him, I don't want to hurt them. Morality shot a wave of air at me. I tried to dodge but it was to late. I got knocked back into a wall with a thud and a grunt. I pulled myself out of the wall and stumbled to keep my balance. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a wall of bricks coming to me. Quickly I summoned a wall of snow and did a twirl motion that sent the snow into the bricks. Sweat was dripping from my brow as I felt my energy being drained. I glanced behind me to look at my shadows to find them trying to release. I could feel the force of them and that made me flinch. I have to end this quickly.
Turning back to face the hero's, I gave them my famous smirk. "This was fun. Thanks for the hospitality but I'll be leaving now. Ta ta!" I said, holding my arms out to create electric fog. It covered the hero's who exclaimed as the fog zapped them. "Anxiety wait!" They shouted. I ran towards the edge and summoned the wind from the storm to catch me. I spun around to the building where the hero's were at the edge. I gave them a two finger salute and flew away. I chuckled as I heard a rush of wind. Of course Morality would try and follow me. I thought as I weaved through buildings. Looking up at the storm clouds, I snapped my fingers and rain started pelting down as well as hail. I redirected it from me as I could have a clear vision. I could hear Morality hissing and yelping in pain behind me. I looked back to see a big chunk of hail hit his head, knocking him unconscious. I stopped as panic hit me. I dived down after him, catching him before he could hit the ground. I hovered around to look for a place I could put him so the others could find him. I spot a abounded park and flew towards it.
Touching down on the ground, I made my way over to a park bench. I had lost concentration over the rain and hail so it was hitting the both of us now. I waved my hand and the storm cleared taking the hail and rain with it. I gently placed Morality on the bench, making sure he wasn't going to fall off when I left. When I was done I muttered a 'sorry' and lifted off the ground and made my way over to the base. When I landed at the front of the base, I took a deep, shuddering breath and mentally prepared myself for what was going to happen. Let's just get this done. I knocked on the door and it opened with Remus and Deceit standing their. Remus had a psychotic smile on his face with a glint in his eyes, where Deceit was fuming so much I'm pretty sure steam was going to come out his ears. They pulled me inside and I felt something hit me on the back of my head. Well...shit. Was my last thought before the darkness pulled me in.
