Meeting the hero's

TW: fighting and mentions of abuse

Roman's POV
Me, Patton and Logan were in the computer room when we got a call from our supplier, Alex Edgars. Logan answered the phone and put it on speaker for all of us to hear. He spoke to us about how his office power suddenly shut off and the temperature went down and that he sent his guard to check it out but hasn't come back. "Okay stay put, we'll come and check out what's happening in your building" Logan said to him. "Will do just-." Alex was interrupted by what we heard, a knock on the door. "Hold on" He told us but didn't hang up. We heard talking and grunts of pain. Then we heard an all to familiar voice. "Look Alex, I'm really really sorry about this. I wish I didn't have to do this to you but I don't have a choice"
Anxiety
"I don't want to get punished again so once again I'm sorry". There was silence until we heard a sickening snap and thud.

Patton gasped and started sobbing as the phone hung up. Logan instantly got up and engulfed Patton in a hug. "Shh Pat it's okay. We'll go catch that villain and avenge Alex okay?" Logan promised. Patton sniffles and wiped his nose on the sleeve on his shirt and nodded. We went to our separate cubicles and pressed the button for our outfits.

I stepped out of my cubicle at the same time as Logan and Patton. They were in their outfits and inside Logan satchel was healing tools and small weapons like daggers. We ran out the door and used our powers or 'abilities' as Logan calls them to make our time to get to the building quicker. Me, using my flames to propel myself into the beautiful night sky, Logan using is telekinesis on himself to make him fly and Patton just using his flying ability. Pat and I had a huge smile on our faces because we both love being up in the air, while Logan who was expressionless as ever, kept his gaze forward with a small frown on his face. He looked like he was thinking. I shrugged to myself.

From the air we could see Anxiety leaving the building and heading towards the streets. We all land at the same time but Anxiety doesn't hear us. "Stop right there you evil doer!" I shout at him, alerting nearby people who look at us and the emo villain and start running away, taking their children and family members away. Anxiety freezes and turns around to face us with his creepy, cold smirk. "Why hello heros! Glad you could join me, I was wondering when you guys were going to show up" Anxiety hissed. "This time you've gone to far! Killing Alex Edgars just because you were threatened to be punished" I yelled at him. Anxiety froze, his smirk gone and was replaced with a look of terror beneath that mask. "How do you know about that?" Anxious asked, his voice so quiet that we had to strain our ears to hear him. "We over heard it on the phone" Patton said. "You weren't supposed to know about that. No ones supposed to know about it. God what will he do to me if he finds out that someone found out" Anxiety muttered aloud, making us more confused than ever. Who was this guy? What happened to him?

Anxiety's body began to shake and tremor. We could hear his breaths go ragged and quick. I heard Logan mutter 'Panic attack'. I kept my gaze focused on Anxiety as he fell to the ground. Patton tried to rush forward but Logan held him back. "Wait, look around him" Logan said. I looked around him and saw that there was fog forming around his body with crackles of lightning inside it. The shadows were closing in on him, wrapping around his body. Fear and concern spiked throughout my body as I saw Anxiety muttering and mumbling to himself. "We have to do something! If not he could hurt people or worse himself!" Patton shouted over the sudden thunder that came from said villain. Anxiety's shadows were now wrapping around his neck, choking him and we could hear small whispers coming from them.

Anxiety lets out a strangled cry for help but it was quickly muted by a shadow tendril wrapping around his mouth. "It's killing him! We have to do something!" I shouted over the sudden wind that appeared. Logan thinks for a minute and then quickly turns his head to me. "Roman use your fire and light to get rid of the shadows. Patton use your wind to get rid of the fog!" Logan yelled for us. We nodded and got ready. Patton gathered the wind around him and pointed his arms towards the villain and threw the wind towards him, gently but strong enough that it gets rid of the fog. I pointed two fingers towards the villain and made a circle motion around him, creating a ring of fire around him. The shadows reeled back but still clung to the terrified villain, who was still struggling against his own shadows but was getting weaker by the second. I then used the light from the fire to bend it over Anxiety, causing the shadows to be sucked back into Anxiety's body. The villain arched his back and yelled in pain that sent a purple lightning bolt to the ground, dangerously close to him. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Patton wince. I feel sorry for Padre, he's an empath so he can feel what others are feeling so right now he's feeling what Anx is feeling and that's probably not good.

Focusing back on Anxiety, I could hear that he stopped screaming and was falling towards the ground. I ran towards him and caught him before he could. I looked at his face and was shocked at how ridiculously pale he was, I swear he could challenge Snow White for the fairest of them all. I picked him up, bridal style and faced back towards the other two hero's. Logan was holding onto Patton who was shaking and had his eyes closed. "Hey Pat, are you okay?" I asked him, keeping my voice low as to not startle him and wake up the sleeping beauty in my arms. Wait, beauty? No I do not think he beautiful. Sure he's cute, wait nope he's not! Shut up brain. "Y-yeah. J-just so m-many emotions c-came from A-anxiety, i-it almost hurt" Patton whimpered burying his head into Logan's chest. I looked up to see Logan's face pink with a concerned look on his face. "How about I take you back to the base and we watch movies and build a fort while Roman puts the villain in the holding cells?" Logan asked. Patton nodded and reluctantly removed himself from Logan's embrace. I had to hold back a snicker when I saw Logan's face have a disappointed look but was quickly covered up with that emotionless facade again.

We got back to the base and I put Anx on the cell bed and brushed away his purple bangs since his hood fell down. I sighed as I put the blanket over his shivering body. I straightened up and left the cell, closing and locking the door behind me and made my way to my room to get changed. I slipped out of my outfit into blue comfy jeans with a red shirt and a white jacket. I left my room and went downstairs into the living room to find Logan and Patton cuddling inside the pillow fort that they had made. Smirking, I took out my phone and snapped a few photos to use as blackmail for later in the future. Seriously though they should date they would make a cute couple. I sat down in the red recliner and watched the movie which was Mulan, our favourite Disney movie. I was so tired that halfway through the movie I feel asleep, thinking of a certain purple haired villain.
