RICKY FOUND HIMSELF GAPING AT THE GREEN PAPER. His name written on the cast list. His name listed on the character he wanted to portray.  He ignored the whispers behind him.He was busy trying to grasp that he successfully landed on the character; Troy Bolton.

Just in time, Ellie came and tried to walk in front of the students. The moment she made her way. She met many eyes staring at her, both Nini and Gina. Which made her uncomfortable.

"Congratulations! You deserved the role, Ellie."

"Thanks, Gina...?" still oblivious of what was happening.

"Congrats." Nini said though there was a hint of bitterness. Ellie didn't catch what was her problem. But her frown disappeared, turned raising instantly when she saw the list. 

Gabriella Montez.

"Uhm... Miss Jenn?" The cherry blonde teacher sat at her table. Ellie sat comfortably at her chair, both hands both clasped.

"So you're suggesting to change your character?" 

"I thought you want to audition for Gabriella?"

"There has been some mistakes that I've done."

 Ellie explained the reason why she said that she wanted to audition for Gabriella because she mistakenly thought Gabriella as Kelsi.

"So, you're really auditioning for Kelsi?"

 Ellie has been thinking about it  all day. Actually, she did really auditioned for Gabriella. Ellie liked the role of Gabriella. She like how Gabriella see things differently.

"Yes." Yes, Ellie like the character Gabriella but she did not want to be one of the lead role.

Miss Jenn nodded understandingly. But its a shame if that Ellie will step down as the lead role. She has the voice and looks like the innocent Gabriella. 

She practically and perfectly fits the lead role.

"Give me a reason why."

"I mistakenly mis—"

" I understand that. But why really?" Ellie stared at Miss Jenn relaxed expression. I can't just go into what she wants, Ellie thought. Playing in the theater made her risk everything that she vowed let alone playing the lead role.

"I just...can't ." Ellie muttered.

"You can't? Or you just don't want to? There's a big difference between the two. Just... give it a shot, Ellie." Miss Jenn gave an awkward and convincing smile.

With a lot on her mind, Ellie thanked her and excused herself.

"Am I really gonn.." Tiberius called out for her. But she was busy in her thoughts. So Tiberius jumped and put his arm around her. Which earned a smack from Ellie because she was almost screamed in surprise.

"So, how did it go?" 

"I think I'm gonna endure all the rehearsals and Carlos."

"Meaning?"

"I'm still having second thoughts on playing Gabriella but—I'll give it a shot...?"

"Really? Then that's great! Tomorrow then?" Ellie was taken a back with what his best friend said. There's already a preparation  tomorrow?!
