"I'M JUST GONNA GO AHEAD FIRST AND FIX MY STUFF UPSTAIRS. MAKE YOURSELF AT HOME." Ellie said setting down the snacks and drinks at the table for the curly brown haired guy. Who was busy entertaining himself by being amazed at the paintings attached at the beige painted walls. Ellie couldn't help but to be anxious, it was her first time bringing a guy at her room, well besides Ty, of course. But Ricky is different, though.

She headed upstairs. Her vanilla scent welcomed her as she pick some of her unfolded clothes and scattered some shirts at the floor.

The first time Ty went to her room he was jaw-dropped or should Ellie say 'culture shock' because of how clean she is. Like, LITERALLY. Her books are organized according to its color and shade of its book cover. Her white carpet spotless. Snacks are on a separated table. And most of all, Ellie's study table neat as always. School papers and her books are organized. There's no flaw or any hint of grime that you could found on her bedroom. Though there is one thing that most people might find intriguing is the frame attached just above Ellie's study table.

It is a painting of a silhouette girl standing alone around her is full of flowers and wonderful weather. It is beautiful, as everyone says. It is one of Ellie's favorite part of the house before but then hated it. Though she couldn't bring herself to put the painting out of the house. Because as much she hated it, it meant so much to her. Since her Dad gave it to her, it was the last time she saw him with no goodbyes or anything.

When Ellie is satisfied her hand grabbed her door knob and twisted it. Then she heard Pooh barf. Quickly, she dashed downstairs worriedly that her corgi dog might bite Ricky or something. Only to find Pooh is on Ricky's arm looking relaxed and energetic.

"I just found her stuck at the table, so...uh." It is surprising for her pet to allow a stranger to pet her. Ricky gave Pooh to Ellie allowing their hands touch.

"Pooh!" she scolded her dog being all wobbly. She almost let go of her dog luckily Ricky catches her. Resulting him to lean  more closer with her as he catches Pooh. Ellie thanked Ricky with a smile. Ellie blushed furiously and set down Pooh.

"So, her name is Pooh?" Ellie nodded.

Ellie gladly explained that she named Pooh  because she has big butt like Pooh. Ricky couldn't help but to chuckle at her cute story.

"Wow. Your room is...clean." Ricky exclaimed making Ellie anxious.

"Well, I give up. I tried my best to make my bedroom messy." she said in defeat while laughing. Ricky laughed at her comment.

Ricky was in awe when he set a foot inside Ellie's room. It was the neatest and organized bedroom that he has seen.

"I'm just in awe. To be honest, I wish my room is as clean as yours." Ricky was amazed when he saw a collection of vinyl records organized in a shelf.

"Woah, your room is so cool. You have vinyl records?" Ellie couldn't help but to slip a smile at how cute Ricky is admiring her vinyl records. Then she remembered the movie. She readied the movie letting Ricky admired her stuffs.

"Let me help you there," Ricky without a thought helped Ellie to prepare the movie on her laptop.

"Thanks. Anyways any snacks you want? Or do you want some pizza?" Ellie asked and was about to leave but Ricky stopped her.

"No need. I already ordered and..." Ricky set his back pack down and opened his packed backpack. Inside his bag was bunch of snacks and junk foods.

"Woahh. We got here a boy scout."Ellie said, with an amusing smile.

"So, I've been told."

We're breaking free

we're soarin, flyin, there's not a star in heaven that we can't reach

Ricky and Ellie watched the first High School  Musical. Both lying on the bed watching the movie in silence. But every time one of them notices how quiet it is, one will make a joke and laugh at the joke. No matter how corny it is.

"Want some chips?"

"Are you trying to pull another joke?" Ricky cant help but to grinned goofily at Ellie.

"Just one more joke, maybe i can pull it off this time." both of their shoulders touching. Ellie didn't want anymore of his jokes but for his sake she nodded, hesitantly.

"What kind of triangle is a tortilla chip?" Ellie was almost regretting giving Ricky a chance. Ellie bit her lower lip trying to prevent herself from laughing.

"An i-salsa-les triangle."Ricky made a weird and tiny voice that made his joke funny. Making Ellie laughed hysterically. The two of them were both laughing like a tomato. Ellie smacked Ricky's shoulders lightly. They were a laughing mess but once Ellie was about to crack some one joke. Ricky's phone rang. When he opened it, his expression changed. Ellie was about to ask him about it but it was Ricky who answered first as if reading her mind.

"It's from my ex."

Ricky raised his phone allowing Ellie to caught a glimpse of the person who he was pertaining to. Nini. Of course it's Nini. Who wouldn't like Nini? Ellie mentally slapped herself for feeling a slight hint insecure.

"I don't know if I should be asking you what happened. But by the looks of it, you're not the one who wants to talk about it." Ellie snuggle at her blanket. A habit of her when she's nearly sleepy. Ricky let out an chuckle trying to cool out the frustration.

"Yeah...well. It sucks seeing her with someone else." Ricky said it with rough tone that Ellie hasn't heard before. Because ever since she encounter and speak to Ricky there's gentleness and playful in it.

"Yeah, I guess so." Ellie didn't know what to say after that. She didn't want to pry on Ricky's personal issues.

"I didn't mean to breakup with her, I just wanted to take a pause on our relationship." Ellie was astonished of what she is hearing now. Ricky stared at Ellie's laptop. The first High School Musical is done and they were screening the credit scene.

"I-It was just...to sudden. You know?" Ricky looked down at his hands. He never thought that his hands were that small than they usually are. Ellie listened carefully and felt bad for Ricky.

" I wasn't ready to say the" L" word. I know it's my fault. I'm not good at saying my feelings and I hate that part of me." Ricky's broken and sad eyes met Ellie's. Then it just hit her— the reason why Ricky joined the theater is for Nini.

" So, you auditioned for Troy Bolton to win her back? " Ellie asked. She was amazed by Ricky's love for Nini . Sure, it is hard for a guy to get out his comfort zone just to win the girl that he love. Ricky nodded.

"Oh..." was all that she could say. Since she got the lead role. Making Nini lay low as Gabriella to be understudy.

"Then you're such unfortunate. You're stuck with me." Ellie tried to enlighten the awkward atmosphere. But Ricky mistook it in a more awkward way.

"No. I-I mean you would do great. Not that I think you couldn't...Well you would do a fantastic job." Ricky tried his best to reply something cool. But it went downhill. Ellie definitely agree to what Ricky said earlier that he's worse at saying his feelings and all.

"Well, likewise. I really appreciate you sharing your problems, Ricky." Ellie thanked the curly brown hair guy.

"You're a good listener, Ellie. Thank you."

"Well, you're welcome. You know you can ask me if I want to step down the lead role, Ricky. It such a shame that you and Nini relationship went..." Ellie was surprised by what she had said.

"No!I mean I don't think that's necessary. I think my guy intuition will just stay on wooing Nini in the long run." Ricky stretched his legs comfortably hugging Ellie's pillow. He was intrigued by the strong scent of vanilla on it. There were two movies left that they needed to watch.

"So... Do you want some a i-salsa-les triangle tortilla chips?"
