"ELLIE, COME ON! CAN WE JUST TALK?" ELLIE JUST PROCEEDS WALKING DESPITE ON RICKY'S ARMS PREVENTING HER FROM WALKING AWAY, SHE SHIVERED AT HOW COLD IT WAS OUTSIDE EAST HIGH. Ellie wrapped herself with her arms, not minding Ricky catching her pace.

Ellie was so tired— and just wanted to get out. But she would be lying if she could possibly get away with this. 

"Just... Let's talk about this."

"And talk about what?" Ellie quicken her pace as she was heading at the parking lot.

"Look, I don't know what happened between the two of us. But after that kiss—"

"It was a mistake, right? So you shouldn't bring that up."

"I said I was sorry." Ricky didn't know what to do but instead his body stepped in to prevent Ellie to go inside her car.

Ricky bit his lip frustratingly as he didn't know what to do about the situation.

"Ricky, if you really care about me you should just allow me to leave right now."

"What does that suppose to mean?'' Ricky was left baffled about what Ellie was stating and feeling.

"Let's just stop this okay, Ricky? Before we hurt each others feelings." Ellie wanted to tell him. Tell him how much he means to her. But she couldn't since she fears that she would end up broken in the end and that's already what's happening right now.

"Did EJ told you something or what—"

"EJ, was just helping me! Alright?" Ellie tried her best to prevent it to happen but her chances  were declining. She bit her lip trying to hold the aggravation that Ricky was continuously doing.

"Then, why are you trying to distance yourself from me?" 

Ellie could hear the hurt and pain in his tone and eyes. She didn't mean it to be like that it's just—  

"Tell me why, Ellie?!"

"Because I like you Ricky!" with that Ellie realized that she said the only reason why she's eluding herself from coming to Ricky. The main reason why.

 The scary feeling that she always felt whenever someone would barge into her life and will make her feel home and love. And somehow would raise the chances of her feeling being rejected, disappointed, and broken.

Ellie covered her mouth in surprise.

Ricky was shocked and not equipped about the situation. Feeling helpless and all, Ellie cowardly walked away but this time Ricky didn't followed her. He was shocked at what Ellie confessed.

Ellie's car drove out of the parking lot, her eyes caught a glimpse of Ricky. Who was still standing in his position his eyes focused on something. Ellie felt the aching in her chest, she regretted putting him in such position.
