STUDENTS PASS BY NOT FAILING TO GLANCE AT ELLIE AND EJ, AS ELLIE'S HANDS TOUCHES EJ'S ROUGH HANDS. She waited Big Red to excuse himself to allow EJ to explain why he had done what he'd done.

" So? "

" What? I have no one to go with. " EJ defended but Ellie was 99.9% sure that there's more reason behind it and she adamant to know what was it.

"I'm fully aware, EJ." Ellie crossed her arms holding the shivers from coming. Ellie regretted not bringing a scarf or a jacket. EJ noticed that she's not giving up to know the reason why he asked her to the dance.

EJ gave up and let a deep sigh. Ellie waited for EJ to explain but when she knew the reason why he asked her out. Ellie quickly regretted accepting his assistance in the dance.

"Are you mad?" EJ didn't expect to receive such reaction from Ellie.

" Maybe? Just... I need you to do this. Let's just go to the dance as—"

"And pretend that were on a date?" Ellie felt the headache as EJ tried to explain everything. He was planning on making Nini jealous and all. Likewise to Ricky.

"What made you think that it would bother Ricky?" Ellie points out. EJ's dazzling eyes focused her. Then EJ realized that Ellie have no idea that Ricky has something feeling or going on with her. EJ remembered Ricky stealing some glance at Ellie as she tries to study and during rehearsals. 

His guy intuition tells EJ that Ricky likes Ellie but somehow Ellie was oblivious about it.

"I—Look, just do me a favour here. Please?" EJ didn't want to say anything about it. Since it's none of his business and he didn't want Ellie to be hurt at some way that has to do with Ricky. He cares for this blondie.

Ellie stood there with full of hesitancy in her eyes.

" Look, it's just one night. I'll keep you accompanied and all. I'm easy and outgoing and I'm not that boring." EJ persuaded, Ellie stared at EJ. 

"I'll do whatever you want, Ellie. Just please go out with me on this homecoming." then for a moment EJ saw Ellie's eyes brighten in interest and excitement.

"You'll do anything or give me anything I say?" then there it is EJ's gut telling him not to nod or agree with it. But you know what they say desperate times, desperate measures.

"Anything."

"Come again? Did I just heard you say that Ellie will go out with EJ at homecoming?" Ricky asked not being able to bare and believe what Big Red just said.

"Yep. EJ asked her out just in time I asked her also."

"Wait! You asked her out?" Ricky was surprised, his best friend asking Ellie on homecoming.

"Yes, but in my defence. I said the two of us." Not knowingly Ricky let out a relief sigh and starting making his way to his next class.

 Later, there will be a practice of the musical and somehow looking forward to it. He could not wait any longer to hang out with the blonde short girl.

Ellie.

" Why are you looking so relief about it? Why are you thinking about her?" a voice whispered behind his head making Ricky yelp in surprise and knocking his hand on the wall. He groaned in pain.

"Hey, dude are you okay there?" Big Red asked worriedly. 

Ricky was about to reassure Big Red when his eyes met Ellie's smile that (Ricky just realized) makes everything around her bright. But the thought quickly escalated when Ricky saw she's walking shoulder to shoulder with EJ. 

Suddenly, Ashlyn closed the door where Ricky's hands resting, ending Ricky to groan in pain massaging his painful hand being crushed by the door.

"Oh my! Ricky I'm so sorry!" Ashlyn apologized continuously as she saw Ricky being red and all in pain. But Ricky's eyes were not on his hand but still focused on the two talking and joking around in the hallway passing the commotion.

 Ellie didn't turn, her all focus were all on EJ.

Ricky felt something that he had never felt before whenever he's with Ellie. A feeling of disappointment and insecurity slapped Ricky as the two just walk by laughing and talking about the homecoming.

Ashlyn and Big Red were about to help him to go to the clinic but Ricky didn't want to. To be honest, it wasn't that painful like before. His hand was rather numb and so was his heart.

"Flora, don't you think this is too short?" she whined on her Mom as she tries to pull her orange dress down. They were on the mall buying her a dress for the homecoming. And she was regretting tagging her mom along. 

Since her style is so different to Ellie.

Flora is more of a elegant style contradicting to Ellie's comfy and warm style.

"No. I think that suits you. Here try this one."

"But I thought this was okay?" her hands grabbed the orange clothing indicating the dress. Flora shook her head and said that the dress was making her head big.

"Ouch, are you really my Mom?" Ellie acted as if being hurt and Flora laughed.

"When in terms of clothing, I have no idea where you adapt to wear such boyish styles."

"Hey, they're not boyish! They're just comfortable to wear! '' she pouted. Ellie defended her comfy clothes. Ellie was preparing herself to argue with her when Flora's phone rang. Ellie already knew who it was. 

It was Kent.

Ellie made a face and turn to change her clothes leaving her mom talking with Kent.

They're really getting back together, huh? Ellie thought.

Ellie let out a sigh and was about to turn when her head met someone's chest. Ellie was about to turn to him and apologize but the guy quickly walked away not minding how painful it was on his chest.

"Sorry, mate." he apologize.

"It's o-okay." Ellie mumbles.

He was familiar though, by the built of his body and height but Ellie couldn't remember. Oddly, she remembered the second last person whom she wanted to see nor meet. She was about to narrow her eyes and think whom the guy was but her attention was caught by the wonderful dress that Flora was holding. With one more glance to the guy, she went to Flora.
