"YEAH, TOTALLY! I MEAN, IT WAS JUST AN ACCIDENT." Luckily, Ricky didn't noticed her mild cough at the end since they were being cut by the familiar bell ring. Reminding them that they need to part ways. Ellie looked down playing with her toes like a shy kid, she was embarrassed at some point expecting Ricky to say the opposite thing he just said. Before Ricky could say anything Ellie quickly excused herself since she needs to go the library and do her work.

Ricky was about to call her but then his gut tells him that he shouldn't. Instead of following, he stood there gazing at Ellie's back somehow waiting for her to turn at some point.

"Ellie? Did you just hear anything that I said?" Ty heard Miss Jenn's scolding voice at Ellie as she struggled to remember everything that's happening.

"Kelsi's entrance would be there and I should spin here and bow after that." Ty remembered Ellie was one of those people who can easily compose and refocus their attention. But of course, Ty notices that something was up.

"Good. Then Gina will teach you what Carlos has reached her. I will check on you two later and  you should memorize your part before the dance." Ty then remembered the dance, Ellie has no one to go with. Which was the first time since the two of them always paired up when going to such events.

But of course, Ty reminded himself that he should distance himself from Ellie. So, Ty asked Gina instead. Gina was reluctant at first but then she agreed since it was her first time going to a dance in East High.

Ty watched from afar while Ellie shared a giggle with Gina as they went through the steps. He misses her, though.

But he knew that they would hurt each other if they acted as if everything is fine in their friendship. Which is not entirely true. 

Ellie felt his gaze and met his eyes. She paused and gave him a friendly smile. Ty looked down and averted his focus on checking the costumes. At some point he regretted his decision of distancing himself from Ellie.

But that's love right? Laying down your own love for someone in order to make her give and receive love with such exceptional intensity that Ty himself could not give nor receive from Ellie.

EJ pushed his things in his locker frustratingly as he turn to his phone. He's still waiting for Nini to reply but he knew she didn't. She was mad at him.

"Hey, Ellie you forgot your notes." Big Red gave her a floral notebook, Ellie thanked Big Red with an appreciative smile.

"Ellie, by the way... The school dance."  Ellie remembered that this was the first time she and Ty not going paired in the school dance.

"Uhm... I don't think I'm going." hearing that gave EJ an idea, he watched the two.

Ellie tighten her grasp on her string bag when Big Red asked her if he wanted to go to the Dance with Ricky and him. It will be all awkward and all and Ellie was not okay being around with Ricky.

She didn't want to go to the dance her heart was not okay. With everything going on.

Ellie was about to decline his offer in an apologetic tone. When someone called behind them, to Ellie's surprise it was her crush, EJ.

"Hey Big Red, talking about the homecoming?" Ellie felt the comforting and friendly question as he tried to be in the conversation.

"Y-Yeah. I guess..." Big Red was really intimidated by EJs friendly smile that he gave him and Ellie. Ellie was confused at the same time curious as to why he approached them in the first place. 

"Oh, is that so? Uhm, I was about to ask Ellie for the school dance." EJ made an embarrassing laugh but Ellie knew he was just acting it making Big Red to retrieve his offer about the dance.

"Well it's up to Ellie on whom she wants to go with." Ellie looked at EJ blankly trying to figure out why he's doing all of this. Putting her on the hot seat.

 She wanted to both decline their offer but then she remembered she's assigned on putting up and organizing the place for the homecoming. And she hated the fact that on her list  she needed  a partner that could deal her and all. To help her if ever there are some unexpected problems going on with the homecoming that she's preparing.  And since Ty was already going with Gina to her disappointment. She was left out with an invisible guy filling her with loneliness.

But out of the blue, both of the boys asking her to escorts her through the whole night. EJ waited with an expecting glimmer in his eyes as Ellie turn to Big Red and back to him.

"Well, I'll probably get ready for the homecoming." Big Red was surprise as Ellie spoke, then gave him an apologetic smile.

"I'll save you and Ricky a dance for the night. But I think I'll go with EJ."
