SHAWN AND ROSALY
"It's finally Saturday," Shawn thought, who had spent another sleepless night because of Rosaly. He'd been thinking about her all night, trying to find the right words to tell her his secret. What if she hated him for it? What if she didn't want to see him anymore? Would he have the strength to bear her contempt if she didn't want to forgive him? No! he wouldn't allow his pessimism to overpower him, taking away all the courage he needed to say to Rosaly. That night he would tell her everything. He wouldn't hide anything from her anymore.
He counted the seconds of that day that never seemed to pass. He had played a little piano, working on a new song he had composed, had worked out in the gym at his house, and tried to read a little, but anxiety still dominated him, as if he had never gone out with a girl before.
He wanted everything to be perfect, so Rosaly would never forget that night. He wanted her to have fun and smile with that beautiful smile he'd rarely seen on her face, he wanted to take the shadows away from those bright eyes, he wanted to see her happy in his arms.
He couldn't believe it when the moment to pick her up had finally arrived. He had reserved a table at an excellent restaurant in the center of town, where he was used to go, and appreciated it because it was elegant, had good food and was discreet. Shawn had also put extra care i9nto the costume, as he wanted to impress Rosaly very much. He wore black shirt and social pants, leather moccasin shoes, and a raw leather jacket. He was finishing up when Aaliyah came into his room:
- Wow, why all this overproduction? Are you going to a party? - She asked curious.
- No. I have a date - he just answered.
- I know it ! Is your date with the girl you told me about the other day?
- Yes.
- So, did you get it right? Have you told her who you are? What did she say? - The girl was so excited, she was asking questions non-stop. Shawn tried to calm her down by saying:
- Hey, little sister. One question at a time. For her first question the answer is maybe, for the second question I'm gonna tell her everything today, and for the third question I'm not sure. - He laughed at his sister's intrigued expression.
- Ah, so that's why you're so cute.. You're trying to win the girl with your charm.
- Sort of. Do you think I'll get it? - he asked. The girl had a good look at his appearance and said:
- You look cute brother, as always. Any girl would love to have you on her side. If this girl doesn't realize that, it's because she's blind.
- I don't know if my beauty works much with Rosely. She doesn't seem to be very attached to these things.
-Rosely. What an exotic name I liked it . - Aaliyah said smiling.
- Everything about her is different and original. You need to meet her, you'll love her. - Shawn said looking at his sister.
- Sounds like we really have someone in love here. - Aaliyah said joking with her brother. Shawn just laughed and said nothing. He was still a little cautious about his feelings for Rosaly, and he didn't want to talk about them yet.
- I have to go now, Aaliyah, or I'll be late. - he said as he was on his way to the door.
- I wish you luck, brother. - Aaliyah kissed him on the cheek, watching him leave.
- Thank you, Aaliyah. - He went out and took the car. He drove as fast as the snow-covered streets allowed.
He parked in front of Rosaly's building, and greeted the night porter, who reciprocated nicely.
