ROSALY

Rosaly woke up and the first thing she saw was Shawn's luggage on the bedroom floor. The week had been flying by, and the day of his trip had come so fast that Rosaly had no time to take a deep breath and prepare for the lonely days that would follow it.

A month didn't seem like such a long time, some people would say, but to her who was in love a month seemed like an eternity, and even though it took up all her time, Rosaly knew there would be plenty of time left for her to miss Shawn.

He got out of the shower, and smiled when he realized she was awake. His strong arms surrounded her waist, and they stayed that way for a few moments, and then he spoke:

- I'm glad she woke up. I didn't want to leave without saying goodbye. - His lips were on her hair, and Rosaly felt her eyes twitching.

- I wanted so badly that you didn't have to go. What am I going to do without you here?- she was clinging to his neck and couldn't get away from him. She needed that warmth, that hug, she needed that man by her side all the time. Without him her days would not be the same.

- I did not want to go and leave you here either, but, it is my job, and I cannot run away from my responsibilities to my audience. - He pushed her away a bit and looking into her eyes, he said - I promise I'll call you every day, and I'll be thinking about you every moment of this tour. Time will pass so fast, when you least expect I I'll be back.

- I'm sorry, I didn't mean to sound dramatic. And I know that this tour is important for you to publicize your work, and I don't want to get in your way with this affectionate lack of mine. You've made me very unaccustomed, for you've been here every night and every morning. I'll have to adapt to the new routine without you, and it won't be easy.

- I love you so much, Rosely. I wish we had more time to show you how much this love for you is great, but I have to stop by the house and say goodbye to my mom. She would never forgive me if I went on a trip without talking to her. Don't you want to go with me? Then you could walk me to the airport. - he said hopeful.

- No. I hate goodbyes, and it would only make things harder. - It was already too hard for her to say goodbye to Shawn in her apartment, and going to the airport would only prolong her pain.

- It's ok. Will you come with me to the door?- She shook her head in agreement.

Rosaly followed Shawn into the room and when he opened the door to leave, she hugged him again.

- I'm gonna miss you so much.

- I'm going to miss you, too. You're my inspiration. I want you to know I'm taking you here with me. - he pointed to his own heart. - Promise me you'll be careful, and if you need anything, you'll call my mom or Brian.

- Yes. Rest assured. And please don't leave me without news.

- We'll talk every day. I promise. - Shawn pulled Rosaly for him by giving him such an intense kiss, she felt like she was spinning on a giant carousel. Then he was gone, with his magnificent smile shining on his lips.

Rosaly closed the door slowly, threw herself on the couch and let the tears roll. She hadn't wanted to cry in front of Shawn, because she knew it would look ridiculous. He wasn't leaving forever, he was just going on a business trip, but inside she felt as if they'd said goodbye for good, as if they weren't going to see each other anymore.

Rosaly couldn't understand why she had gotten up with that bad feeling of impending disaster, she only knew it made her nervous, and she prayed that Shawn would have a quiet trip. She had never liked airplanes, and had always avoided using them as a means of transportation, but in Shawn's case, he needed to get to the places where he would do his shows very quickly, and the plane was indispensable for that, but even though she was aware of that detail, Rosaly still had no sympathy for the vehicle.
