ROSALY AND SHAWN

Shawn looked at the girl leaning on the door of the apartment, and realized that she was terrified. He had to make her stop screaming before the whole neighborhood showed up and caught him in that awkward situation. He could already see the tabloids saying, "Young pop star Shawn Mendes was caught last night by the police, trying to attack a girl at the door of the victim's apartment.

Shawn got a little closer to the girl, because the lighting there was bad, and he couldn't see her face. He stretched out his hand and touched her arm, and the girl shrunk even more. She had stopped screaming, but her eyes were still closed and she trembled a lot. Shawn thought about what he would do next, as something like this had never happened before, and he was getting nervous. Then the girl opened her eyes at the exact moment when a ray of light struck her face, and Shawn recognized her immediately, for he would never forget those lovely greenish brown eyes.

- Rosely. - he said amazed and realized that she had recognized him as well.

What was Dr. Mystery doing there at the door of his apartment? Had he followed her? Suddenly, she felt angry, very angry, and didn't know exactly why, and it was for this reason that her voice sounded altered when she asked:

- What are you doing here and how do you know my name?

- Well, I think you have a badge with your name on it. - Rosaly felt ridiculous after his explanation. Of course he should have read her name on her badge, she was just amazed that he had actually done it. She noticed that he wore the same old sunglasses and baseball cap, and wondered why he was still in disguise at that time, if he wasn't in a public place. Maybe he was one of those crazy people who thought everyone was chasing him anywhere, and he was undercover all the time.

- You still haven't answered my other question. What are you doing here? - Rosaly needed to know.

- I'm sorry if I scared you. The fact that I'm here is just a coincidence. I was leaving work and was followed by two paparazzi, so I didn't want them to follow me home. So I started driving around town, trying to lose them, but then my gas ran out, my cell phone battery ran out, and I ended up in front of your apartment looking for a phone. I didn't know you lived in this condominium, so I didn't follow you as you thought. - Rosaly felt her face burn with embarrassment because she had that kind of thought. It was obvious that Dr. Mystery hadn't followed her, why would he do that?

- It was foolish of me to say so, please forgive me. I was scared. - She wanted so much to see his eyes that at that moment they were watching her behind those damn lenses. If she could pull them out herself, just to make sure their color was as she imagined it.

- It wasn't your fault. I was the one who showed up without warning. - he smiled at her now, with the same crooked smile that Rosaly had been enchanted by the other day at the Weekend.

- Won't you come in? - she heard herself say. - It's very cold out here and I think you could wait for help in a warmer place. – She couldn't believe She was inviting him into her apartment. He was a complete stranger of whom she knew nothing, but that way of smiling made her lower her guard and trust him. Dr. Mystery didn't seem to be someone who would attack her the moment they were left alone in a room. She was tired of being suspicious of everyone, and decided to follow her intuition that time.

- Well, if it's not going to get in your way, I accept it. I need a phone to call my mother and let her know where I am, because she is always worried when I suddenly disappear.

Rosaly was surprised to learn that he bothered to tell his mother where he was. It didn't seem to match the aura of power around him. It was strange to think that Dr. Mystery had such a strong family sense, because in the world he was part of, most people seemed to live in a crazy rhythm, as if tomorrow didn't exist, and today was all that mattered, and attitudes like that had no place in their lives.
