Five years had passed. Greer and Hudson were both teachers. Greer had decided to get her degree in teaching, but she was still planning to get her masters in counseling. Presley was now a thriving kindergartener. She had just turned six. She loved going to school with her mommy and daddy. Greer and Hudson were both teachers at Presley's elementary school. Greer taught first grade and Hudson taught fifth.

This particular day was a inservice day for the teachers. Presley loved days that she got to come to school with her parents when no one else was there. She would pretend to be a teacher herself or sit and draw pictures to decorate her parents' classrooms. She would spend time in both of their rooms throughout the day.

Greer was not feeling well on this day. She told Presley, "Essie, I need you to stay here. I'll be back soon okay. Keep working on your pretty pictures and I'll be right back."

Greer couldn't believe it. This was surprising, but just what they needed. Greer smiled as she walked back down the hall to her classroom. She said, "Okay princess. Let's go see daddy."

Greer took Presley's hand and they went to Hudson's classroom. Hudson looked up and said, "There are my favorite girls. I was beginning to wonder if I was going to get to see you today."

Presley took off running to him and jumped in his arms. She covered his face in kisses and said, "I love you, daddy."

"You know I never get tired of hearing that. I love you too, Essie."

Hudson looked up to see Greer with a dopey smile on her face. He asked, "Are you okay, babe?"

"Yeah. I just thought you may want to see this as soon as I took it."

Greer held out a pregnancy stick. He asked, "Is that what I think it is?"

"It is. Do you think you are ready for another cute kid?"

"Really? We're having another baby?"

"Yes sir."

Hudson wrapped a free arm around Greer and held both of his girls to his chest. He said, "This is perfect! It's good timing. We finally get to have another baby. I can't wait!"

Presley asked, "A baby? Like Auntie Arie and Uncle Grant?"

Hudson told her, "Just like them. Their baby will be here very soon. Mommy's baby won't be here for a while. This baby will be here when you are in the first grade."

"How will the baby get here?"

Hudson and Greer both looked at each other. Then Hudson told her, "Mommy and Daddy love each other very much. And we love you. We wanted to see you be a big sister, so we gave each other a special hug and now we have to wait for the baby to grow in Mommy's belly."

"Oh. Are you still going to love me?"

"What kind of silly question is that? Mommy and I will always love you. Babies take a lot of attention, but we will never forget you. We are going to need your help."

Greer told her, "Your daddy is right. You are going to be the best big sister and the biggest helper."

"Okay."

Hudson gave Greer a kiss. He said, "I don't know how I am going to get anymore work done now."

"Work now, celebrate later."

Presley asked, "Can I stay with Daddy and draw a picture for the baby?"

"I think that would be great, sweetheart."

Greer kissed both of them and went back to her classroom. Presley asked Hudson, "Daddy, am I still going to be your princess when the new baby gets here?"

"Absolutely. You will always be my princess. Daddies and Mommies have special hearts. They get bigger with the more babies they have. Mommies and daddies love all their babies just the same."

"Okay. I just wanted to make sure." Hudson held Presley on his lap while he worked at his desk. He knew she needed to feel extra loved at that moment.

Seven months later, Greer and Hudson welcomed their son, Archer Scott into the world. Just six months after Clara and Grant had their baby, a girl, Gracelyn Kate.

Another year later, Greer and Hudson had another boy, Deacon Jack. Greer rolled her eyes with the choice of middle name, but Hudson was determined. It was a reminder of what brought them together in the first time. It was always his suggestion, but this time Greer couldn't help but agree to it.

Then two years after that their family was complete with one last child, a boy, Finn Grant. Hudson and Grant had become best friends throughout the years. Grant fit well with the small group and he was so good to Clara. Greer and Hudson were quick to make him an important part of their children's life.

Presley was their one and only girl in a sea of boys. She loved every last minute of it. She got to do all the fun stuff with her mom and her dad and brothers were always protective of her. Though things were not always easy, their family was always in it together. Greer and Hudson loved all four of their children the same, but Presley always had a special place in their heart because she was the biggest reason why they grew up in the first place. She was what brought them together in the long run. Because no matter what you believe, you have to know that a baby changes everything.

And this is where this story ends. Thank you for reading. Be on the look out. My third story will be coming your way next week!
