Andjela Vlaisavljevic as Lana!! I think she fits the description perfectly for our Lana

It's been such a busy week with assignments and exams. Writing has helped keep my cool or I would have gone insane with the amount of work that had to be done and lack of socialisation

Enjoy the chapter and don't forget to:

My words caught in my throat. The deafening sounds of the students yelling and laughing were tuned out. Everything seemed to freeze in place as I watched Max stood with his friends, laughing. His hair was unkempt and he had dark circles under his eyes. He itched the stubble on his chin before his eyes met mine. I wanted to disappear. I wanted to look away but my body wouldn't listen. Unblinking, I stared right back at him. My lips parted as I took in a sharp breath. I could see the glee in his eyes, the grin forming on his lips. Don't walk towards me, don't walk towards me, I chanted over and over again in my head. His eyes quickly scanned the area around me.

What was he looking for?

He continued to search every pupil and body insight. His body tensed as they landed on Daniel who was sat on a bench across the field with some of his friends. His eyes were burning a hole into Max's head and his hands which were rested on the table turned into fists. His stare was deadly, enough to kill someone on the spot. Daniel had been keeping his distance but that didn't mean he wasn't going to keep his eye on me. The tension on my shoulders eased and I breathed out a sigh of relief. Max wouldn't dare approach me as long as Daniel was about. I was proven right when I witnessed Max drop his head and turn back to his friends. I focused my attention on Daniel who was now watching me with a small smile. He nodded his head in reassurance and I couldn't help the smile forming on my lips. I felt protected.

"What's wrong with you?" It's like someone pressed down on the play button on a remote control, all the laughter, chatter and screams filled my ears all at once. I turned to Sapphire who watched me with an odd look while Alice continued to slurp on her ice tea. Did she have to slurp it so loud?

"Just excited for the party~" I sang out, pretending to act excited. This sent Sapphire off on a tangent; she hopped from the discussion of her party to what she and Bruce were doing the other night to her parent's having bought her the latest Gucci bag. I couldn't keep up with this girl's life. She had everything and yet here she sat gossiping about everyone else. How did I even manage to get into her little clique?

The day was finally over and I had survived. Barely. There were so many occasions I wanted to stand up and yell at both girls for being snobby, whiny, little bitches but I refrained from doing so. However, I promised myself that once I solved the murder mystery I was going to do just that.

Daniel went to work to help Mrs Jones fix her broken shelves so it was just me, Sammy and Lisa. I distracted myself by doing some homework for a while and then after I helped Sammy with his. He seemed to love staying here, he had made himself comfy and at home. Having Lisa around was very helpful, even though she had to leave in a couple of days. At least Sammy wasn't on his own.

"I'm thinking chicken soup tonight," Lisa popped her head into the living room, Sammy and I were sat on the floor cross-legged in front of the coffee table, doing his homework. We sent her wide smiles.

"Perfect," I replied. Sammy wasn't a fussy eater and I was glad he was willing to try anything without whining. Lisa gave us a thumbs up before heading to the kitchen to cook. Daniel returned an hour later. He announced his presence by dropping the hand tool kit on the floor with a thud and released a loud sigh. His hands were worn and rough and his hair was stuck to his forehead from the sweat.
