"Appa, wake up," a little voice was heard, as Joshua grunted a bit and turn over. "Appa, please wake up." Little hands tugging on the blanket, as Joshua just chuckle. Joshua slowly sat up to see his little baby boy, well his three year old son, Vernon, looking up at him with big eyes.

"Okay Appa is up," he said, picking up his son and hugging him. "Did you wake up all by yourself," he said, as Vernon nodded.

"I'm hungry Appa," he said, as Joshua nodded.

"All right, lets go and make some breakfast," he told him, getting up and carry Vernon to the kitchen. He set Vernon down, as he went over to the fridge to start cooking. Vernon moves over to the dinner room table and climbed into his chair. He picked up a picture frame and smile.

"Good morning Eomma, I miss you so much." He kissed the frame and set it back down. Joshua smiled, as he looked to see a lovely picture of his wife and mother of his child, Momo. He puts a new picture up there once a week so Vernon can see his beautiful mother. "Appa, is Eomma going to be home for your birthday?"

"I don't know, little man," he honestly replied.

"But your birthday is tomorrow..." Joshua kneeled down to his level and hugged him.

"I know but Eomma is busy protecting us," he said. Momo is in the military, serving her time. Joshua was in the military as well but was discharge after his accident when Vernon was little. Joshua has suffer a bad back and legs because of it. Joshua now stays home with Vernon, as Momo works. She is currently away in deployment and she has been gone for nearly a year.

"I miss her," he whined a bit, as Joshua picked him up. Vernon hugged him tight, as Joshua kissed his forehead. This is the longest Momo has been gone from the family. Vernon is still little and doesn't understand everything.

"It's all right to miss her. We will video call her tonight," he said, as Vernon nodded. "Now go on and play, while I get breakfast going." He nodded and went to the living room. Joshua sighed, looking over at the picture. "I hope you do come home soon. We both miss you."

"Appa," Vernon called to him, as Joshua set his book down. Vernon came walking in with his stuff teddy bear Momo gave him and his blanket. Nap time was around the corner. He climbed into Joshua's lap and cuddled. "Can you tell me a story of Eomma." Joshua smiled and put his blanket over Vernon.

"Of course, I will tell you how I met your Eomma."

"I met your Eomma when I was still in the military. I had hurt my arm from saving a young man and had to go to the sick hall. Your Eomma was one of the nurses there and she was beautiful. She was the one that took care of me, so gently and a smile on her face. I didn't get to see her so often, so I start to fake injuries and sickness to go and see her. She finally caught on and told me if I want to see her just call. She gave me her number and we slowly became friends."

"You didn't love Eomma right away?"

"Oh I did, but I had to play cool. I didn't want to scare her away, yet I should be worry about her scaring me. Your Eomma is a nurse and knows how to use needles."

"Yes Appa, I don't like needles."

"I don't either but your Eomma keeps both of us healthy."

"When did Eomma fall in love with you?"

"Before Appa went to deployment. Your Eomma wanted me to be safe and come home to her. She kissed me in front of everyone and told me she love me. When I got back, I married your Eomma right away. Then you came along and we all been a happy family since."
